Re: Brianna Arluk

To Whom It May Concern,

Brianna has asked me to provide insight into her qualities and abilities for admission into VTFT for next year, her
senior year at FC. I have known Brianna for the past three years as a teacher (AP Art History, Art) as well as a
sponsor (NAHS). Bri, as she likes to be called, is a motivated young lady, who is respectful, and polite as an
individual. She is well liked by her peers as well as all the teachers throughout the building.
During this time frame I have interacted and seen Bri as a mature, respectful and positive person who diligently
performs the tasks asked of her in both class and NAHS. She is focused on her education and works hard on
everything given to her in class. While working she displays a positive attitude while receiving constructive
criticism and feedback. She adapts and reworks her ideas upon the advice given. I believe Bri’s work ethic is
one of her key character traits that will be a benefit to her while working within the VTFT program. I believe her
dedication and self-motivation are secondary strong character traits that will allow her to continue her
successfulness as she continues on the path to being a teacher. She has shown me that she can perform tasks
in a timely manner that has allowed for her success within my class and organization.

Brianna participates in extra-curricular activities within FC and within the community. She is a member of the
National Art Honors Society. She has participated in our paint night activities at local nursing homes and
rehabilitation centers. She has helped with our annual Seatack Elementary Christmas program where we
provide a day of arts and crafts to K-5 students of need. She has a variety of Community Service activities
ranging from The Susan G. Komen race for the cure team, the GLA Belize Initiative for Children where she taught
summer camp for underprivileged kids. Bri also participated in GLA’s Ghana Initiative for Children where she
made 4000 bricks to help build housing within the town of Anloga while teaching math, science and english to
the children. She has participated in dance since age of three and has won multiple dance competitions in the
competitive division. Bri also dances at nursing homes as well as competitions. Brianna also fundraises for
Beyond Boobs here in Va. Beach. Bri is currently a Neptune Princess for the 2018-19 year, an award recipient for
a VA Pilot scholastic achievement in 2016-17 and won 2nd place in the Eli Wiesel holocaust multimedia division.
Brianna has been a three year member of FC’s Cheer Squad with last year as one of its captains. She has
cheered for Lynnhaven cheer squad while babysitting for two families in the area. Through all of these activities
Bri has learned how to manage her time wisely while maintaining her priority, her grades.

Although a mere glimpse into Brianne’s character and ability, hopefully you see her as I do; a mature, focused,
young lady who is eager to achieve. I recommend Brianne Arluk to VTFT for consideration for the 2018-19
academic year.
