Limerick 1a

There was a dog on the road,

Who saw his very first toad

The toad said please help

Me cross without yelp-

-ing, and get to my abode

Limerick 1b (a continuation)

The toad opened his small door

And said to the dog, before

You come in, please wipe

Toes, chin, and don’t gripe

We’ll eat a marshmallow s’more

Limerick 2

A snail appointed as judge

Dumped the attorneys in fudge

The jury yelled “Halt!”

And threw out the salt

Since the defense would not budge
