ABSTRACT
Morality is understood as what is, by social agreement, correct and incorrect human
behavior, so common accepted and that has reached an acceptable community
consensus. It integrates the different standards of conduct that we consider legitimate, as
are the principles of autonomy and beneficence. Autonomy is "self-regulation, free,
without external interference that intend to control, and without personal limitations that
prevent making a choice," while beneficence consists of "acting for the benefit of other
people." This essay is about the morality of the Christian individual and about possible
conflicts or the difficulties that can arise when making an analysis of the implications of
the morality promoted by the church and the concepts of autonomy and beneficence.
