I was appointed in PEL on 23JuIY, 2010 as an intern, doing MPA majors in
human Resource Management. I was appointed as an intern in IR&A Department
at PEL. During my internship program I have learnt office work and the
application of the knowledge and theories that I have learnt during my MPA
degree.
I have learned many administrative steps and resource handling skills.
I have performed number of duties in four weeks period.
My areas of learning are same as my study program and I was informed about
the same things which I really wanted to learn.
I have mentioned my key learning¶s in the report , during my internship I have
observed many gaps which I have mentioned in detail in my report, and in the
end there are some recommendations according to my point of view that I
consider to be updated.

My key learning¶s are about the operations carried out in IR&A at PEL.

Maintaining the record and checking of the attendance of the staff of the
organization including all PEL units in Pakistan
Overtime calculation
humb impressions and face recognition software systems can calculate the
daily attendance of the employees according to their duty timings easily and
quickly.

I have seen that in the computer the records of the employees is not up to date
with whole detail as in the hard copy of the files so new software programs
should be installed in the systems maintaining the database of the whole staff of
the factory, so the record keeping system should be improved with new
software¶s.

j Some times the environment gets very noisy in IR&A department.
Because the sections are too much closer to each other which causes
disturbance.
j he staff related to personnel is to be separated from house keeping and
administration and security.
j he behavior of the staff with the workers is not much cooperative which
should be improved.
j Workshops on workplace ethics should be conducted that produce better
results.

I think PEL had given a lot to learn, the skills, motivation, a platform to observe
practical application of the office work.
his experience helped me in a great way; it helped me in every dimension of my
professional career.
I have observed through my experience at PEL and my assessment shown me
that by managing the human resources system properly can save a lot of time
and resources.

I was in the same department where my specialization requires me to be, my
qualification is match with my study program in real practical manner.
What I have learned from my text books, from these passed days I have
practically done those things.
I think working in this system really give me an edge over my learning qualities.

Yes I am sure if PEL is interested to offer me the job I can be a part of that
learning competitive organization.
I am a human resource graduate who can manage work force diversity through
excellent leadership and interpersonal skills and can increase productivity by
motivating employees PEL is making headway day by day.
So definitely I would be a part of it.
