June – Month of Sunshine, Flowers and Elections. Congratulations to all newly
elected officers and Thank You to all our retiring officers.
Just Breath Deep!!!!!
Hopefully you will have the forms for your new officers and delegates/
alternates, also info if you can host a meeting or event. Please try to return
these forms at the June s Meeting.
By the time you read this, we will have attended our New York State
Convention and Kathy Anderson will have been elected to another year of our
NYS Advocate. The Convention will be a “ Great Memory” and we will be
getting ready for the New York State Columbiettes Cruise.
Don’t forget the Charity Ball. If you haven’t gotten your tickets yet “What are
you waiting for” If you need any info please call Colleen Wyman our Vice
President.
We can all rest up in July.
Also Save this Date (You will be hearing this a lot) November 1, 2018
Mediterrean Manor Suffolk Chapter Fashion Show and Dinner. This will be
our big fund raiser. Please put this date aside. More info to follow.
Have a safe and relaxing Summer.
Please keep all our sick and deceased Columbiettes and Knights in your hearts,
thoughts and prayers.

Minutes of the Suffolk Chapter Meeting 05/11/2018 at St. Lawrence 2458
Call to order: 8:00 PM
Pledge of Allegiance.
Opening prayer led by Fr. Gus.
Wardens report, all present have a valid membership card, 60 brothers present.
Introduce dais
Roll Call of Officers: Excused, Norman Wagner, Thomas Ambrosecchia, Bob Bienemenn, Joseph DiNero,
Bill Billups; Matt Cola
Past Chapter Chairman in attendance: Donald Graham, Thomas Romano, Robert Slingo.
Roll call of Grand Knights. 13 in attendance.
District Deputies Present: COB, 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10. Suffolk County Officers Training will be held at Patchogue
725, May 24 6:00 repast.
Motion and second to accept the minutes as published.
Chapter Chairman Report: Chaplains night was canceled due to a poor response; The Columbiette and
Chapter Communion breakfast was a success and had a good turnout, the charity drive is winding down get
your journal ads in; May 20th will be the Pilgrimage to Our Lady of the Island Shrine. Rich Grefig will
announce nominations for the upcoming elections June 15th at Patchogue Council 725.
Communications: Letter of thanks from Seminarian Paul Pilleggi.
No bills.
Treasurers report by Progress.
Financial Comptrollers report Progress.
Audit report: progress
Rep to Hudson Valley by Bob Slingo: There will not be a June meeting, they will be having their Charity Ball.

FAC Tom Fawcett: Make sure you provide a good contact number, we have been having trouble
contacting people due to full mailbox. We are here to help. There is $3729 in the FAC account.
Charity Drive Tom Romano,
Sponsor Cards, Rich Webber: $1 per line; please support.
Charity Drive Raffle, Tom Fawcett, turn in $5 per book. See me for books, please separate books when
turning in.
Tom Romano: Charity Ball Reservations, tickets are $77 per person. Please promote the event and make
reservations make your reservations now.
Rich Grefig: Journal, please get ads to John Joseph; no ad is too small, ad need to be in in 2 weeks.
I need someone to deliver some ads to John Joseph. Bob Elliott Volunteered.
Direct Donations, Make checks payable to Suffolk Chapter Charities Inc.
Traveling Madonna is available contact Rich Webber.
Bill Murphy: Pilgrimage to Our Lady of the Island Shrine May 20th.
Missions: donate used eyeglasses and hearing aids.
Special Fund Raiser, Tom Fawcett and John Mastrosimone are working on a bus trip.
Track Meet, Rob Fontana, at West Babylon Middle School June 9th.

Columbiette Liaison John Mastrosimone: The Columbiette ’s have been working with us on the Charity
Drive and all events.
John Mastrosimone: He introduced the Conference officers, all in attendance. June 28th is the Conference
meeting, a 3rd degree will be held on June 29th.
Mike Hearney Scholarships are coming in, due by May 15th. Suffolk had some free throw winners. Get
ready for the Soccer Challenge.
Unfinished Business: Rich Grefig announced the Chapter nominations for the upcoming year.
New Business: Bob Slingo spoke about Allen Thompson a sculptor from St. Elizabeth looking for donations
for a pro-life statue if Mary, a motion was made with a 2nd to donate $300.
Chaplains Report, Fr. Gus: I am disappointed in the response for Chaplains night. The Grand Knights need
to get the Chaplains involved.
Good of the Order:
Chairman presented a check to the host council for the repast.
There were 3 winners for the raffle.
Next meeting June 15, 2018 at Patchogue 725. (Yes the 3rd Friday of the Month).
