inlays vs crowns in patients with extensive restorations in defective
amalgam and resin?

La demanda estética por parte de los pacientes cada vez es mayor, igualmente las
técnicas y materiales para la preservación y rehabilitación de dientes afectados
por traumas o caries, una de estas técnicas indirectas son las restauraciones
adhesivas para dientes posteriores generando un cambio tanto en su preparación,
así como en su cementación. Las restauraciones en incrustaciones inlay, onlay y
overlay busca conservar busca conservar la mayor cantidad de superficies
remanentes para reducir la mayor probabilidad de fractura, lograr mayor
adaptación y mejor selle marginal.

Abstract
The aesthetic demand on the part of the patients is increasing, also the techniques
and materials for the preservation and rehabilitation of teeth affected by traumas or
caries, one of these indirect techniques are the adhesive restorations for posterior
teeth generating a change in their preparation , as well as in cementation. The
restorations in inlay, onlay and overlay inlay look to conserve looking to conserve
as much of the remaining surfaces to reduce the greater probability of fracture, to
achieve greater adaptation and better selle marginal.
