To proclaim the Gospel; equip the next generation; mobilize the church throughout the world
August 7, 2010
On both outreaches we had the privilege to visit a Lebanese refugee family in Metulla in northern Israel
on the border of Lebanon. They made a wonderful Lebanese dinner for us. Ronny (38), father of two
beautiful little girls, has been very sick. The Doctors have been unable to diagnose him and on our first
visit there were so many tears. This time was different. All the
prayers that went up to the Lord were answered. There was so
much joy! Henry and Phoebe spent private time with Ronny
and asked his testimony. He told them he is from a Catholic
background and couldn’t really point to when he had received
Yeshua. He wasn’t even sure of what it meant to be born again.
He was stuck on being justified by his own good works. He
admitted he was angry against God for his physical situation
and even blamed God. The Lord did a great work that evening
and Ronny opened his heart to Yeshua asking the Lord for
forgiveness. Praise the Lord!
Please pray for Ronny. For his follow-up, for healing emotionally and physically. There is so much
tradition here in Israel, whether it is with the Lebanese refugees or Palestinian Christians or even Jews.
We thank you for your love and support. You are a part of our team. Your prayers and financial support
make a difference. May the Lord bless you and your family for your faithfulness to Him and to us. Please
pray about joining us on the field sometime. You would be blessed and you would be a blessing to many.
We also thank God for the scholarship He provided for us to attend a 3 week intensive seminar for
educators at Yad VaShem (Holocaust Remembrance Museum) here in Jerusalem. We pray that the Lord
will use this in touching the lives of the many survivors here in the land.
In His Service,
Henry and Darlene
