Sour Cream Chocolate Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

Ingredients

 1 stick softened salted butter


 ½ c sugar
 1 egg
 3 large ripened bananas mashed
 1 t vanilla
 1 c whole wheat flour
 1 t baking soda
 2 T extra dark cocoa powder
 ½ c sour cream
 1 c dark chocolate chips (mini will work as well, but I prefer regular sized ones in this
recipe)

Ingredients

 2 C shredded apples (I used food processor)


 1 C shredded carrots (again food processor worked great)
 1/4 C butter
 2 eggs
 2 C flour
 2/3 C sugar
 1 tsp baking powder
 1 tsp baking soda
 1/2 tsp salt
 1-2 tsp cinnamon
 For the Crumble Top
 2/3 C flour
 1/2 C brown sugar, packed
 1/3 C butter, softened
 1/2 tsp cinnamon

This is the BEST banana bread recipe! Everyone LOVES it!

Yield: 1 loaf

Cook Time: 50 minutes

Total Time: 60 minutes

Ingredients:
 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
 1 cup granulated sugar

 2 large eggs

 1 cup mashed brown bananas (3 medium sized bananas)

 1/4 cup buttermilk

 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

 1 teaspoon baking powder

 1/4 teaspoon salt

 1/8 teaspoon baking soda


Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray and
set aside.
2. In the bowl of a stand mixer or by using a hand mixer, cream butter and sugar together. Add
eggs, mashed bananas, buttermilk, and vanilla until combined.

3. Add in the flour, baking powder, salt and soda. Mix until just combined. Pour batter
into prepared pan and bake for 50-55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

4. Let bread cool on a wire rack for 15 minutes. Loosen the bread with a knife and carefully remove
from pan. Let the bread cool completely on the cooling rack. Slice and enjoy!

No need for a mixer for this recipe! Clean-up is easy too, if you want, you can mix everything in
one mixing bowl.

The best bananas to use for banana bread are those that are over-ripe. The yellow peels should be
at least half browned, and the bananas inside squishy and browning.

Ingredients
 2 to 3 very ripe bananas, peeled
 1/3 cup melted butter

 1 teaspoon baking soda

 Pinch of salt

 3/4 cup sugar (1/2 cup if you would like it less sweet, 1 cup if more sweet)

 1 large egg, beaten

 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour

Method

1 Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C), and butter a 4x8-inch loaf pan.
2 In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until completely smooth. Stir the melted
butter into the mashed bananas.

3 Mix in the baking soda and salt. Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Mix in the
flour.

4 Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan. Bake for 50 minutes to 1 hour at 350°F (175°C), or
until a tester inserted into the center comes out clean.

5 Remove from oven and let cool in the pan for a few minutes. Then remove the banana bread
from the pan and let cool completely before serving. Slice and serve. (A bread knife helps to
make slices that aren't crumbly.)
