Narrative Report on Third Quarter School-based National Simultaneous

Earthquake Drill 2017

I-Introduction

We can’t prevent phenomenal catastrophe to happen but

we can protect ourselves unharmed if we prepared. In
compliance with Division Memorandum No. 233 s., 2017 from
Department of Education (DepEd), Division of Samar, Pinabacdao
National High School (PNHS) conducted its 3rd Quarter
Simultaneous Earthquake Drill at exactly 8 o’clock in the morning
on September 28, 2017.

The purpose of this activity is to help the students/ pupils to

be well informed on the crucial thing to act first during its
occurrence and so they can have also a chance to share the
information they have learned throughout the drill to their family
and the community as well.

II. Accomplishment

Before it started, each class adviser oriented and each

grade level some imperative views on what to carry out during the
earthquake drill. Each class adviser also supervised and facilitated
the orientation. When the ringing of the bell, student went out
from the classroom with both hand covered on their heads and
ran into the school plaza or an open field which was far from
electric post/wiring, big trees and building. The member of SDRRM-
PNHS Alert Team identified the victim of earthquake and applied
the first aid.
 The drill successfully done and no untoward incident
happened during the drill. The officer and member of SDRRM-
PNHS Alert Team are very supportive of this activity.

As observed, the earthquake drill activity was joyfully done

with the active involvement and undeniable interest and
willingness of each person concerned.
