Chalk Paint

First, what you need to do is get
your favorite color chalk. Then
you take your chalk and grind it
up and then mix it up with water
to a liquid consistency. Then
once you have your liquid chalk
you can put it in a squirt bottle
and, then when it drys it will be
a lighter color. When you want
your color to go away, all you
have to do it spray it away with
shape their garden for a
reasonable amount, such as $5
or $10 for a small garden, or
amounts such as $20 or $30 for
a bigger one!
House Sitting
Lots of families go on vacation
during the summer, and if you
aren’t going anywhere anytime
soon, offer to house sit their
house! You could feed their
pets or water their plants!
Depending on how long they
are away for, they can pay you a
variety of amounts. If they have
a bigger house, they can
possibly pay you up to $75, or
even $100!
Toy Sale
If you have lots of good toys
sitting around that you don’t
play with anymore from when
you were six and want to get rid

The Perfect Berry Shortcake
Summer Dessert

This is a perfect summer dessert because
it looks so summery and delicious.
Ratings on the website say that it taste
amazing and that its the best shortcake
they have ever had. If you would like to
make this shortcake then here are the
ingredients. 2 cups of all purpose
bleached flour, ½ tablespoon of salt, 1
tablespoon of baking powder, 5
tablespoons of sugar divided, ½ cup of
butter frozen, 1 egg, ½ cup of cold
half-and-half, 1 (16) ounce package of
unsweetened frozen raspberries,
blackberries, blueberries, or strawberries,
12 ounces of fresh berries, 7 tablespoon
of sugar divided, 1 cup of chilled heavy
cream, and 1 tablespoon of vanilla
extract. That’s what you will need for
this perfect summer dessert.

- 4 cups of lemon juice
- 3 cups sugar
- 1 bag frozen raspberries
- Ice cubes for serving
 How to make this shortcake is first
you need to preheat the oven to 425
degrees, then mix the flour, salt, baking
powder and 3 tablespoons of sugar in a
medium bowl. Next, repeat grating the
butter and combine egg half-and-half
then pour into flour mixture. Then toss
with fork to form large clumps and press
clumps into a ball. If the dough doesn’t
come together then add more
half-and-half into bowl. Before baking
you can refrigerate for 2 hours, then put
into oven for 12 to 14 minutes. Cool
down from 5 to 10 minutes. Mix thawed
berries into a bowl and let it stand until
the sugar dissolves. When it’s done
cooling off put the berries over each cake
bottom then add whipped cream on top
of the berries. Lastly cap with cake top
and enjoy!

Yale Bologna Festival

26, 27 ,28, & 29th which is a fun
four day weekend that closes off
the streets in the small town of yale
and transforms the small town of
2,000 to a gathering of 20,000.
This year's festival will have the
traditional cardboard boat race,
outhouse race, Bologna run, and so
much more. The festival will have
stuff for the whole family.The
festivals will have vendors with
all types of cool stuff, a fun clown,
a baby contest, and a horseshoe
competition. They will also have
there traditional parade with a lot
of fun different things right now
you can book time on the stage to
perform anything you want in the
past Crazy Moves dance studio has
used the stage to perform and there
has been so many cool things that
has been performed.

Summertime Drinks

Summer’s Coming, time to cool
off with some nice and cold summer
drinks! Lets go! Let's start off with the
Refreshing Watermelon Lemonade
Slush! All you will need is one cup of
cubed seeded watermelon, about one and
one-fourth cups of fresh water, and three
tablespoons of some sweetened
strawberry lemonade mix. Now time to
start making! Place all of the seeded
watermelon cubes onto a plastic wrap
baking sheet and place in the freezer
until frozen. This should take about the
average of about forty-five minutes. Now
that you’ve done that, take all of the
frozen seeded watermelon cubes, the one
and one-fourth cup of water, and the
sweetened strawberry lemonade mix into
the blender and blend it until it's the
amount of slush you would like it to be.
Yay, this delicious drink is finally done!
It is about seventy-one calories. The user
in Goodells, Michigan, and takes place
in the week of July 16-21. It is a family
fair with lots of fun things to do. There
is a carnival for kids and adults alike.
There are animal shows and auctions
so you can buy the best cut of meat
from a person who uses the money for
college. I like to watch the horse shows
such as Gymkhana because it is a long
sequence of things for a horse and their
rider to do. Sort of like little
challenges. I also like to walk around
the park and look at the animals and
hang out with friends. They also have a
snow cones. I like to do still exhibits
like art and photography. The fair has
plenty of fun things to do, such as
carnival games and rides. My favorite
ride is the Ferris wheel. It's very
calming. You can buy daily passes and
weekly passes which allow you to use
the carnival all week or one day. There
are also awards ceremonies so you can
see how your children did or someone
else's children did. The set up for the
fair is normally the Sunday or Saturday
before the week but that might change.
The week is fun filled with lots of
food. Elephant Ears, Hotdogs, Burgers
are just to name a few. It may not be
the best for you but it's very good. I
hope to see some of you readers there
for some days of the week!

Ideas to do on Summer Break

Summer break is coming up soon and
it is very long and you could get bored. So I’ll tell
you some ideas to have fun this summer. One
idea is to have water balloon fights with friends.
Just have to have a bucket, or tub, water balloons,
anda hose. Another way is to have a water GUN
fight instead of using water balloons. The second
Idea to do on summer break is to go to the beach.
Go swimming, collect seashells and make sand
castles. Another idea is to make ice cream
sandwiches and play board games outside. One
other way to have fun in summer is to go
camping with your family or friends. Make a
campfire and roast marshmallows and stuff. Go
fishing on a boat in a river,lake, creek, or even go
into the water to fish! You can go to flea markets,
they are like garage sales but with tens of
hundreds of them grouped together in tents and
stands. You can go to a baseball game or a soccer
game. Buy and place a slip and slide. Invite
friends over to use it with them. Have a party,
invite your friends and family over to eat, and
play games. You can also go swimming in a pool,
or hot tub. Have a paintball war or airsoft war.

Vintage Lemonade! All you’ll need is
five lemons, one and one-fourth cups of
white sugar, and one and one-fourth cups
of water. Now let's start making our nice
cold glass of vintage lemonade! Peel all
of the lemonds and cut them in one-half
inch slices. Now put the peels in a bowl
and sprinkle sugar on them. Leave for
about one hour. Boil a pot of water and
pour it on the peels. Lave for about 20
minutes before removing the peels.
Squeeze the lemons into a different bowl.
Pour the lemons juice through a strainer
into the sugar mixture. Make sure you
stir! Now you have some delicious
vintage lemonade. It’s only 269 calories.

Summer Sports

If you are a sporty person and don't
know what sport to do next to keep you
up and moving during summer I have
some suggestions. For example, during
summer you could go to the beach with
your friends and play beach volleyball.
Or you could play disc golf in your
front yard with a set that you could
simply get from a sporting store. Or if
you want to do a sport that's really
unheard of go to a local pool if you
don't have one in your backyard and
play underwater hockey with some
friends or family. But not all people
want to play something practically
unheard of so instead you could go and
play a more popular sport like
basketball at a gym or in your front
yard. There is lots of sports to do to
keep you entertained and fit over
summer break. Also if you play sports
with friends and family during summer
you know you'll be ready for school
sports. Also you can keep yourself
entertained during summer well
spending time with friends and family.
One more thing that you could do that
is not a sport but with keep you fit and
ready for school sports is to run a
couple of marathons throughout
michigan.

thing that you could do is catch fireflies in a jar
and release them at night to see them when they

ideas on what to do during summer break when
you have nothing else to do.

Summer Activities

Sometimes during summer
there is not much to do and you become
easily bored. If you want something
that is easy to do and cheap then you
could make some popsicles and go
outside. Or you could even to
something as simple as going for a bike
ride with some friends or family. Also
you could go and set up a lemonade
stand or maybe go play some minigolf.
There is plenty of things to do. One
more thing you could do if maybe you
just want to get away for a couple days
and spend some time with family you
could go camping for a couple days. As
you can tell there is lots to do for
summer and these are just a few
suggestions. Summer is meant to be a
break and be fun so make it fun by
possibly learning a new trick like
juggling. Also if none of the things I
said so far sound interesting maybe you
something that's not super interesting
but very productive like getting a
summer job. There is lots of things to
do during summer even if it doesn't

​ Summer Popsicle ideas

Vanilla Greek Yogurt Funfetti
Popsicles
Ingredients-
● 2 cups vanilla Greek yogurt
● 1/2 cup vanilla almond milk
● 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
● 1/3 cup rainbow sprinkles
​ Instructions-
1. Combine the yogurt, almond
milk, and vanilla extract (I just
used a bowl & spoon). Once
mixture is smooth, stir in
sprinkles.
2. Immediately transfer mixture to
the popsicle mold. Leave a little
room at the top of each popsicle
to allow for expansion when they
freeze.
3. Insert popsicle sticks and then
freeze for at least 6 hours. If you
have trouble inserting the sticks
right away (e.g. if they're
wooden), I suggest freezing the
popsicles for 2-3 hours then
adding the sticks and freezing
4. for another 4+ hours.

Best Flea markets to go to in Michigan

Flea markets are places that
you can go to to buy things that people
sell. It is kind of like 100s of garage
sales in one area.There are all kind of
things sold at flea markets like toys to
boats and weapons. So the first place to
go in Michigan is the Greenlawn Grove
Flea Market it is ​Open from 6:00am
every Saturday and Sunday year-round.
The next one is the Dixieland Flea
Market and has 200 vendors across
90,000 sq.ft. of selling land. Next one is
the Tecumseh Trade Center & Flea
Market Family and is open every
Saturday and Sunday, from 10am to
6pm, during the months of May
through to October. The Armada Flea
Market is also a good market to go to,
because it has about 150 – 200 stalls on
both Tuesday and Sundays. The Eastern
Market is one of the best places to go to
because with different markets taking
place each day of the week and up to
40,000 visitors attending each day
during the high season.The Warren

ways to make edible slime,
depending on the flavor you want.
You can make several different
flavors, but I am just going to
show you how to make
marshmallow, and starburst
flavored edible slime!
Starburst:
- Take starburst and put them in
the microwave for 15 seconds
or until soft and stretchy
- Put the now soft and stretchy
starburst in a bowl and mix in 2
tablespoons of cornstarch
- Mix until you have a slime
substance and enjoy!
Marshmallow:
- Take marshmallows and
microwave them for 15 seconds
or until soft and stretchy
- Put the now soft and stretchy
marshmallows in a bowl and
mix in 2 tablespoons of
powdered sugar
- Mix until you have a slime

Fun Summer Activities

Summer is upon us and with
schools end just around the corner,
your going to need to know what to
do to make things fun. I’m going to
memories or just ones you
admire. Take photos of the
beautiful scenery or yourself.
Also, You can visit
amusement parks or state fairs,
they are one of the most fun &
exciting thing to do in summer.
It is definitely something to look
forward to. Playing the games
where you earn little prizes is
always a blast! All the crazy &
fast rides are my favorite. Some
of the best in my opinion is
“The Magic Carpet”, “Tilt a’
Whirl”, “The Swings”. There
are many things you can do at a
fair, you can even just go to take
photos.
Next, try inviting
friends over or host a party.
Having friends over is one of the
most exciting thing to do on
those boring summer days.
Painting nails, making face
masks, and all other sorts of
things is always a great quality
time with your friends. Just
hosting a simple party is
something to look forward to,
there doesn’t even need to be an
occasion!
Lastly, go on a small
vacation. Traveling with your
family is a great time, except for
when you get into fights with
your siblings. Some suggestions
are Boyne Mountain,
Frankenmuth, Mackinac Island,
Traverse City, and many, many
more amazing places to go.
Small Getaways are always a
good thing to do in summer. Fun
budget-friendly day out for the whole
family.

Flip Flop Wreaths

There are two different styles of
flip flop wreaths; 7 shoes, or 10. The 7
shoe style doesn’t make a circle wreath,
but you can spell out any word you’d
like with them! The 10 shoe style has the
traditional circle form for lots of people
to love!
For the 7 shoe style, all you
need for the 7-style is super glue, 7 flip
flops (3 pairs and 1 extra), fake flowers,
a ribbon or string, a paint marker, and
possibly a piece of cardboard depending
on how heavy the flip flops are! Glue the
flip flops
together,
overlapping
each other,
and add a
few fake
flowers on
things to do on your vacation is

How do you welcome
summer? You may do something
special, right? Well, all over the
world, there’s different traditions
people have to celebrate the
summer solstice. From solstice
fires in Austria to Astrofest in
Croatia, there are so many
different celebrations going on!
Well, let’s go into the depth if
some of these special
celebrations!
In Tyrol, Austria, a
spectacular display can be
experienced every year at the
summer solstice in the Tyrolean
Zugspitz Arena. People there
light up to 8,000 individual fires
that illuminate the dark sky. In
2010, solstice fires were decreed
as a summer solstice tradition,
which is now well known to be
one of Austria’s cultural
heritages.
Midsummer in
Stockholm, Sweden is an
important day. It’s a day of
indulgence with its root in pagan
