Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of aerospace engineering experience.
Additional Qualifications:
Experience in hardware/component development programs.
Extensive knowledge of the design and construction of wound field electric generators used in aerospace applications, together with their integration into the wider electric power system. Experience in Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) Experience with Design-to-Cost (DTC) activities, manufacturing processes and techniques. Ability to work with teams to meet expectations of internal and external customers. Able to handle multiple customers/priorities with supervision reflective of level of experience and engineering level. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Skilled in conveying technical ideas and concepts through team discussions, presentations and in writing tuned to the appropriate audience. Goal oriented in meeting performance, schedule and budget requirements. Monitors own activities, ensuring that tasks are appropriately defined, supported and achieved in a timely manner. Focused on customer needs, innovative, demonstrates a sense of urgency, consistent performance, communicates effectively and builds networks. Strong problem solving ability. Dedicated to customer satisfaction and demonstrated capability to establish and maintain strong business relationships with suppliers, customers and co-workers.
