Effects on classroom and usage limitations
CCCOES, is sole owner of the system used on
campus and restricts the use of the technology
provided to current students and employees.
Use of the D2L system and internet access will be
used solely for educational and professional
purposes. Limited access to sites can and should
be expected. Email access by the user is not a
protected domain.

Email communication is restricted to registered
users within the system. Each user will be issued
a personalized domain name and is required to use
this for any communication within the CCOES
network.
Electronic communication includes email, internet
services, web pages and system computer use.
Limited use of the system should be expected,
filters are in place to protect sensitive information
from accessing the system portal for security and
virus protection.
Sending or storing email that is obscene in nature,
false harassing or abusive information, will not be
tolerated. There will be no tolerance for initiation
or continuation of chain letters, forging email,
creating or disseminating computer viruses,
copying copyrighted computer software, accessing
downloading printing or storing sexually explicit
images or text messages on campus computers.
Electronic communication within the CCCOES
system is governed by the same laws as other
mediums. Correspondence of an employee or
student in the form of email or other uses can be
accessed under the law and publicly recorded for
prosecution.
Use of electronic communication that is not
consistent with the needs of and educational
setting are a violation of CCCOES policy and may
result in penalties ranging from reprimand, loss of
access, suspension or dismissal.

Passwords are created by users with specific
criteria requested by the system. Passwords are
required to be updated every six months and must
not have been previously used. Do not share your
password with anyone. Restricted use of
individual domains are the sole responsibility of
the user to which they are granted.
