We thank You for Your inquiry and have hereby the pleasure of quoting GIA SwedVent Underground
Ventilation System for a.m. project as follows:

Please note:
This quotation is based on our enclosed ventilation calculations. ”Max. diesel kW at heading” stated in
our calculations indicates max allowed momentarily generated diesel kW and is based on an air flow need of 4
m3/min per each generated diesel kW.

The governing factor for chosing the air-flow, has been: we have assumed that there will be max two
dump trucks in one tunnel during mucking, each 150 kW. 50% of the nominal diesel-power we assume to be
governing which give 2x150 kW x 50% x 4 m3/minute = 600 m3/minute = 10,0 m3/s. This airflow must be
delivered from the portal fan stations. Since the pressure with dia 900 mm ducting will be quite high, if more
airflow would be required, larger ducting must be considered.

GIA SwedVent Repair Sleeve
The repair sleeve is a fast and secure tool for repairing holes and tears of flexible ducting. The sleeve
is made from standard duct material and a longitudinal zipper is attached for closing the sleeve. The
sleeve is made approx 0.5% smaller than the nominal duct diameter which will allow the sleeve to be
really tight against the duct once the duct is pressurized. With the repair sleeve, the repair will be
professionally done and the leakage from any hole will be reduced to a
minimum. The repair sleeves are manufactured in standard lengths 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 and 5.0 m. Other
lengths will be manufactured upon request.

GIA SwedVent Flexible Ducting - Technical specification
General: All seams and other joining works are fully welded (vulcanised) 40 mm wide. No sewing. Suspension hooks are welded to the fabric at
a distance of c/c 0,75 m. On duct diameters >Ø1800 mm, two parallel lines of suspension hooks are mounted. Coupling A - GIA
SwedVent ZIP-joints: Both duct ends made with a split zipper (plastic zipper) of heavy duty PVC-type. Protection-sleeve which on the outside
hides the zipper and on the inside seals the joint according to the principle ”the higher pressure the tighter joint”. With ZIP-joints, the ducting is
delivered on standard pallets regardless diameter. Coupling B - GIA SwedVent steel clamps: One end of each duct length is fitted with a steel
ring, vulcanised to the fabric. One steel clamp made of galvanized 1,5 mm steel with locking device (threaded crank) closes the joint.

Every duct length is marked with information regarding quality, length, diameter, max allowed working pressure and manufacturing date.

* "RS" stands for Rip-Stop. The base fabric is made with an
