MC 200N (Internship) : 200 hours

Course Description:
Exposure in mass media outfits that enhances acquisition of the basic competency in
writing, organizational, entrepreneurial and managerial skills as well as the
development of proper attitude towards media practice and identification of field of
future employment after graduation.
Prerequisite: Incoming Fourth Year/Graduating Status – ADV 1, BC 1, JRN 1, COMM 3,
COM-RES 1, DRM 2, ORGCOM 1

Letter to Parents To be signed by parents and submitted to adviser
Profile/Locator Sheet To be accomplished and submitted to adviser
* 2 x 2 picture is needed
Daily Time Record To be signed by site supervisor and submitted
* 1 x 1 picture is needed
MOA To be signed/notarized and submitted
Evaluation Sheet To be accomplished by site supervisor every 50 hours
* A written progress report is submitted
every completion of 50 hours
Monitoring Sheet To be kept by adviser and presented to site visits
 A certificate of completion is required at the
end of the OJT to be considered graduate
 A detailed resume is to be submitted

Grading/Evaluation:
Class Standing - recitation = attendance in school and class sharing/
discussions every week
- quizzes = progress reports every 50 hours
- assignments = submission of paper requirements/
documents

Major Examinations = Evaluation results of first 100 hours for midterm


examination and second 100 hours for final
examinations.

IMPORTANT: All documents must be submitted within the prescribed deadline by the
practicum adviser. Failure to submit requirements/finish the prescribed number of hours
would mean a FAILURE (F). Other details would be given by class advisers.
