Improvement Plans:
*Concerns must be tied directly to teaching standards!
*Make your supervisor aware of your intentions before beginning
*Utilize data in the creation of the plan - walk-throughs, observations, parent
communication, etc.
*Ask yourself: "Will this plan help improve the areas of concern to meet the
standards?"
*Many actions can be involved - lesson plans, mentor teachers, instructional
coaches, professional development, etc.
*As the evaluator, make sure that you hold up your end of the plan
*Communication and follow-through are vital
