Your Job Description


Make a list of all of your daily duties or review your current job description to see if it is current and reflects all of your
duties and responsibilities.

 Conduct routine monitoring and maintenance to provide the highest possible availability of
all analyzer systems
 Report problems and possible solutions to supervisor
 Receive instructions, work orders and safety permits for the troubleshooting, repair,
calibration, replacement or overhaul requirements of equipment
 Complete modifications and data collection of analyzers and sample systems
 Perform routine monitoring of sample handling systems and gas cylinder replacements
 Maintain calibration gases for analyzers
 Ensure that all the work is carried out according to safe working procedures, safety permits,
and regulations
 Maintain and repair all process analyzers as used for safety and shutdown control,
personnel monitoring, environmental monitoring, product quality and process efficiency
 Observes all HSE regulations and ensures safe operating procedures are followed
 Maintain all the analyzer instrument equipment’s in good condition in order to
achieve the Quality of the products according to the standard specifications
 Strict adherence to Plant Safety Protocols & Good housekeeping

Review your Work/life balance and well-being. What do you think your supervisor
could do/ what could be done to help you in this area?

My work /life balance and well-being:

 I schedule a plan for my task beginning of each day for the activities (personal/work) for the
day and evening ahead. This is helpful to turn my priorities to meet my goals into reality.

 I take care of myself by eating healthy meals (especially breakfast). Exercise at least three
times per weeks and sleep a minimum of seven hours per nights. These practices relieve
stress, raise energy level, increase stamina, improve mental clarity, boost immune systems,
and keep myself a happier, more engaged and more productive person.

Seeking Supervisor Support:

 I have proved many times by taking new assignments and completing the task affecting my
personal life. Being a youngster, I would like to learn new things. I request my superior to
provide me more assignments in the analyzer field. I require his /her support to uplift my
career to subject matter expert in the same field. I assure that my personal life will not be
affected by taking more responsibilities/assignments.

If you reflect on this past working year, note all of your achievements? Did you reach
the goals which you agreed to in the last performance appraisal meeting? If no goals
had been given, how do you think you contributed to the businesses objectives?

 I have proved myself in many instances whatever the activities I have carried out in the last
year.
 There were no specific goal set in the last performance appraisal meeting. However, I was
flexible towards the betterment of the COMPANY by taking new assignments such as
Borouge , Saudi Petrokemeya, METAS etc., (Replacement of Gas chromatography and
networking, GC Commissioning and Analyzer House integration and Engineering)
 I have trained one engineer in such a way that he can handle the activities alone without
my further guidance

Were there areas where you encountered problems or the outcomes were not what you
wanted?

 I have not encountered any problems during my current assignments as well as new
assignments.
 I have hands on experience in Analyzer maintenance. Sometimes, I find it difficult in
explaining with respect to engineering / design of the analyzer with the client. Hence, I
need training to understand the Engineering background of the analyzer. This will be
helpful during my discussion with the Client.
 My way of work is generally well recognized by supervisor and Client. However, I have
some remarks on my communication skills both spoken as well written. I also
personally felt that my communication skills to be improved.

Short term goal:

Completing all the activities / assignments on time. Improving communication skills.

Are there any other issues/areas you would like to discuss during this performance
appraisal meeting?

 I understand that the COMPANY is providing me good remuneration with respect to the
market standard throughout my last five years of service. However, considering my
extra effort towards my new assignments and successful completion of my all the given
activities, I request you to provide as per my performance.
 I need external training to improve my communication skills.
