4 2 Tank and Following additonal tests may please be added with

1. Air Pressure test on transformer tank at fabrication

5. Wheel dimensions, proper turning of wheels

6. Physical proper ties of materials for lifting and
jacking pads
7. DP tests on load bearing welds ( pulling eyes, lifting
hooks, and jacking pads)
8. Check for flatness of gasketing surface.
9. Leak proofness of oil filed compartments.
10. Verfication of tank profile as per approved drawing
11. Paint type and shade.
12. Paint adhesion test.

observations.

5 3 Core and Windings Please provide details of the tests being performed
under different heads like control of manufacture,
control of manufacture (completed core, active part
testing, etc.
Some of the tests and checks are found to be missing
and the same shall be brought in line with the
indicative QAP sent to AEP for incorporating the same
in this QAP.
Please refer to our indicative QAP attached along with
this set of observations.
You may please refer to clause 2.22 and 2.24 for the
same.
6 4 Accsories 4.1 Bushings For HV, LV and Neutral Bushings following may
included:
1. Dimensional Checks (creepage and lead length)
2. All type tests as per IEC 60137
3. Check LV palm of bushings as per standard
procedure.

calculation as agreed between manufacturer and
purchaser.
31 7. Pre-shipment Following tests may also be included in pre-shipment

1. Dew point measurement of N2 at the time of filling
& after 24 hours in transformer tank.
2. Nitrogen gas tightness, pressure reading, availability
of pressure gauge, availability of 2 nos. reserve gas
cylinders
3. Check on completeness of despatchable
transformer mounting of nitrogen gas cylinder and
regularisation of pressure.
4. Check for proper loading of transformer on road
trailor/railway wagon, proper bracing & anchoring.
5. Proper packing of accessories & fittings
