E.1 NEXT > NEXT > CREATE NEW DOMAIN IN A FOREST > type your desired
domain name (e.g css.com)
e.2 choose the forest level (winserver 2008 r2) > next > ignore the
warning dialog box just click YES > next > type your password (e.g css_2018) > next
> next > click reboot on completion

NOTE: ADDS and DCPROMO are installed corretly

F. CREATE USERS
HOw to? f.1 open server manager > (+)roles > (+)adds > (+)aduc > (+)css.com
f.2 create Organizational Unit
How to? 1. right click (css.com) > New > Organizational unit(OU) > Type
your desired OU Name (e.g. CSS STUDENTS) > Right click CSS STUDENTS > NEW > OU >
TYPE "CSS USER" > GO BACK to your CSS STUDENTS OU > right click > NEW > OU > Type

How to? click CSS USERS OU > right click blank space > new > user >
type the full name of users and his/her user logon name > next > type your password
> uncheck "users must change password at next logon" > next > Finish.

7. Joining domain (client computer windows 7, 10)
How to?
7.1 start button > right computer> click properties >advance system
setting>computer name>change>click Domain>type your domain(css.com)> Windows
Security will appear >Type your admin credentials, > welcome message will appear >
ok > ok to restart > close > restart now

Note: admin credential = it pertains to server's admin account


USername = Administrator
Password = css_2018

7.2 Login your user/s created in your active directory


How to? Press Control + delete > switch user > type logon credintials (e.g.
Username: itsmeismael@css.com Password:css_2018)

8. Part 1. (Server) Folder Redirection
8.1 Create a folder needed for redirection (local C,D,E)
8.1 Share your folder (Everyone,read and write)
8.2 Open Server Manager > Click (+)Features > (+)group policy management >
(+)forest:css.com > (+)domains > (+)css.com > Right click css.com >Create gpo in
this domain and link it here ... Window dialogue box will appear > name your Group
policy object (GPO)(eg. folder redirection)> ok > right click in your newly created
GPO(folder redirection) > edit > Note: group policy mangement editor will appear >
Under user configuration click (+)policies>(+)windows setting>(+)folder
redirection>choose folder that you want to redirect(eg. desktop)>righ click Desktop
> click Properties > click Target>Under setting click the dropdown arrow then
choose basic configuration > Under Root path, we need to copy the network path of
our shared folder created earlier.

How to? Locate your created shared folder > right click > properties > click
sharing tab > then copy the network path > then go back to your group policy mgmt.
editor > paste the network path to rooth path > apply > warning dialogue box will
appear ignore it just click yes > ok. Open your CMD > then type "gpupdate /force"
after a few secs. a prompt message will appear (Y/N) Type Y to agree then enter.

Note: your server will logoff after typing Y. then you need login back your admin
account.

NExt step go to your clients(Windows 7 and 10) open your CMD type "gpupdate /force"
a prompt message will appear (Y/N) type Y then hit enter your machine will logoff
then you to login back your current account.

9. DHCP Configuration

9.1 Install DHCP Services
HOw to?
1.1 Open server manager > click roles > add roles > next > check DHCP Server
> next > next > Set your parent domain to your existing domain name (css.com) >
change your preferred DNS SERVER address = ip address of server > click validate >
next > next > next > disable ipv6 > choose skip authorization if this of DHCP
Server ADDS > next > install > wait for installation to be finished > close.

10. Configure DHCP


HOw to?
1. Start button > Administrative tool > DHCP > click the full name of our
server (+)(server.css.com) > right click (server.css.com) > click authorize > click
(+)IPv4 > right click IPv4 > New scope > next > type name and descriptio of
scope(e.g. name = css scope, description = css domain)> next >
set your ip address range (ip start = 192.168.0.20 ip end = 192.168.0.30) > next >
next > confiugration DHCP option click NO >next finish >
Activate your scope
How to? right click scope > click activate

11. obtaining client's ip address
11.1 windows + r > type NCPA.CPL > right click > local area connection > set your
ip addresst dynamic/obtain setting
12. Go back to your server > open DHCP > click (+)ipv4 > click
(+)scope(192.168.0.0)CSS SCOPE >right click Server option > click configure
option>under GENERAL TAB> check 003 Router > under IP ADDRESS type the feault
gateway address > click add > apply > ok

How to remove DHCP configuration


1. go to your windows 7/10 client then set back your ipaddress to static
2. Delete your scope in your DCHP management
3. go to our rome > remove role

12. Print and Document Services (server)


12.1 Go to your server manager > add roles > add print and document services.
12.2 Install printer's driver
12.3 Open server manager > click (+) roles > click (+)print document services >
click (+) print management> click (+) printservers> click (+)serverlocal > click
printers > right click epson 120 > Manage Sharing > Under sharing tab check share
this printer > apply > click ok > right click again in your epson l120 printer >
deploy with group policy > Dialgoue box will appear > browse > then choose default
domain policy > click ok > Under "deploy this printer to the following" > check
THe users that this GPO applies(per user)>click add > click apply > click ok

Proceed to your windows 7,10


then click start button > device and printers > epson 120 on server > right click
your printer(epson 120) > click printer properties > click print test page.
