Above are possible fonts which I have selected for my first newspaper idea. The first 5
shown are fonts which I may select for mastheads, headlines and graphics. Out of the
possible 5 fonts, I feel like the second font (Century Schoolbook) is most appropriate for
a newspaper, as it reinforces a professional and reliable tone in the newspaper, and
doesn't distract too much from the style of the front page. The other fonts, specifically
fonts 1 (impact) and font 3 (pacifico) were both taken into serious consideration, and
may still be used in some aspects, although to uphold the theme of continuity
throughout my newspaper I will predominantly use font 2. Both fonts 1 and 3 may
appear more bold and outlandish on first glance, however I feel they would be more
suited to a magazine style, and therefore decided against using these in favour of a
more traditional newspaper font.

For the body text I have chosen fonts which are very standard and clear, making the
reading of a large body of text easy for the reader. After reviewing all the fonts I have
decided to choose font 2 (calibri) to maintain the professional theme, and since after
conducting research, I found this is a commonly used font in newspaper conventions.
