The King’s speech, the critically acclaimed and four times oscar winning film directed by
the great Tom Hooper (well known by other stunning masterpieces like the 2012
adaptation of Victor Hugo’s Les Misérables, as well as the moving 2015 film, The Danish
Girl) tells the story behind Prince Albert looking to become king facing some stuttering
problems.

After the dead death of his father and the abdicacy abdication of his older brother,
suddenly Prince Albert, played with an implausible and compelling performance by Colin
Firth, has to face the challenge of taking the ride of a country near a war without being
able to speak to them because of his stuttering problems. That’s why he ask asks a speech
therapist for help, but what surprises and at the same time annoys him is the way the
theraphist treat therapist treats him like an ordinary patient, ignoring the manners which
he is obbeyd supposed to act in front of a member of the royal family. Prince Albert is
about to give up when the therapist finds a way he speaks properly: when he gets angry,
which is quite easy. In the development of the film you get to see that there are some
psycologist psychological reasons of for his sttutering. stuttering

Eventhought Even though at first it may seem like it is not so exhilaring, exhilarating the
ambientation ambience surrounds you, the relationship between the prince and the
therapist is hilarious, the plot is gripping, not to mention the performance of Colin Firth,
reincarnating credibly the prince’s problems, which has made him gain win the oscar
Oscar for Best Actor as well as many others, and for me, one of the things that makes
worth watching the film worth watching
