Assignment # 1: Mitosis

Title: Mitotic cell division

Aim: To make models of different phases in mitosis.

Materials:

(i) 1 Paper cardboard

(ii) Two cups of Clay dough (different colours)
(iii) Three to four feet of string

Method/ Procedure:

(i) Use the clay dough to make an outer membrane for the cell (cell membrane).
(ii) Use the clay dough to make four models of chromosomes and use the string to
represent the spindle fibres.
(iii) Construct the phase of mitosis to which you are designated to.
