Reading Comprehension

Watch the following presentation about Elizabethan theatre and write about the topic
using your own words. (5-10 lines).

Elizabethan theater refers to the theater of England during the time of Queen Elizabeth
I, the theater was hugely popular and sophisticated. There were a lot of public theatres,
where people attended most. The most important was The Globe, Shakespeare's
theatre, located on the south of the river Tames.

All the theatres were built with a circular footprint, with an open-air structure so there
was no way to protect from the weather. The plays were reproduced during the daylight
hours between the months of May and October. They also put a flag to indicate that
there was a performance there. The theatre was formed in three levels and each one
had a different price. The theatre had a main stage raised and partially covered by a
kind of roof painted with a sun, a moon and the zodiac signs and was supported by
wood pillars painted to look like marvel.

There were girls who made their way through the people selling snacks or drinks,
sometimes themselves too. If the public didn't like a character they could throw things
to them. Also women were not allowed to take part of it, so all the female characters
were played by men.

Don John: I was furious to see how all of you were so happy and that everything was
going smoothly. I just wanted to see Claudia and Hero falling out and there was
something inside of me that made me invent the lie.

Don Pedro: You did it so wrong and now you have to pay the consequences of your
acts. You'll be punished by forbidding you to inherit the reign and to be the prince if
something happens to me considering that I don't trust you anymore. If you have lied
once, you can do it again.

Don John: I understand you. I have failed you as a person but I would like you to
forgive me as a brother and give me another chance to do the right things.

Don Pedro: I can forgive you as a brother. Although I want you to know that I'm so
upset with you because you couldn't have done any worst. I hope you have learned the
lesson.

Don John: Of course. I love you and I promise that I won't disappoint you again.

A VERY GOOD DIALOGUE! REALLY WELL WRITTEN!
