1 BMC ABEND with invalid Residual Byte Count detected

Phenomena When the latest version of the BMC software was applied and the ESCON channel was
connected, the software repeatedly abended. According to the investigation, an invalid Residual
Byte Count was detected on BMC software side during EOF record reading.
Contents The micro-program has been modified to fix the problem.
Conditions The problem may occur when all the following conditions are met.
(1) IBM Mainframe host is connected.
(2) DKC type is either 2105 or 2107, which supports the A6 command.
(3) ESCON.
(4) There is a track in which the EOF record exists after record 2.
(5) The above track, which includes the EOF record, is read by the A6 command.

2 Occurrence of SCSW "0C40"

Phenomena When BMC application was used, SCSW "0C40" - data link error - (channel end, device end,
incorrect length) occurred.
Contents The micro-program has been modified to fix the problem.
Conditions The problem may occur when all the following conditions are met.
(1) IBM mainframe host connection.
(2) The DKC type is either 2105 or 2107, which supports A5 command.
(3) FICON.
(4) SLI is not added to the last A5 command of CCW chain.
(5) CCW byte count is lost before it reaches to the end of track, and the channel stops data
transfer between records.
