Gregor Samsa doesn’t realize he has morphed into a bug, until his parents see him and
give a clear reaction that he is a bug​. ​Gregor Samsa is a man who hasn't missed a day of work
in fifteen years. His life is committed to paying off his parents debt, and encourage him in a way
that is forcing him to​. ​As he wakes up one early morning he says to himself,”What's happened
to me?”(Kafka 93) as if he has realized he’s changed.​ ​However, he says,”How about if I sleep a
little longer and forget about all this nonsense,”(Kafka 94).​ ​So Gregor decides to sleep a little
longer, as if it was a dream. The text clearly shows that Gregor has not a clue on his figure.
Gregor, being morphed into a bug has a big effect in the plot. This possibly means no working to
pay of his parents debt, and a loss of a job offer.
