MISCELLANEOUS ASSIGNMENTS

DIAPHRAGM
Assign floor as "Rigid" Diaphragm
Procedure
• Select all floors. Go to Select >by Area Object Type, then choose "Floor". Click OK
• Go to Assign > Shell/Area > Diaphragms then choose "D1". Click Modify/Show to see if it is
assigned as "Rigid". Click OK

MASS SOURCE
Specify all dead loads (SW & SDL) for mass source in seismic consideration
Procedure
• Go to Define > Mass Source > Select "From Self & Specified Mass and Loads"
• Select SDL. Note that SW is automatically considered, SW multiplier = 1
