Background
This project is for the students who are having hard time coping with English
subject especially in reading. This project is to develop the students’
comprehension skills in a certain level of competencies. However, this is only
for grade 7 students because it would be better to focus on the first level of the
students in secondary school. The peer tutoring is one-on-one assistance
among the students who are having difficulties especially in reading
comprehension.
Objectives
• Promote academic and social development for both the tutor and tutee.
• Give the struggling students an opportunity to extend their knowledge
about the competency targeted each day.
Scope
This project will focus the grade 7 level of Rosario National High School. At
the end of this project, the students’ comprehension skill will be more
enhanced.
Time
This program will be conducted at 3:45 pm to 5:00 pm.

Theme: English Language: A tool for Bridging the
Barriers of Linguistic Relationship among Young
Learners

RATIONALE
English is medium to unlock the barriers of communication among
individuals. It can be learned through promoting activities which
provide the young learners some knowledge that is useful in developing
their linguistic relationship. In connection with this, English week is
organized to give an equal opportunity for all learners to participate in
some learning activities which promote the theme. “English
Language: A tool for Bridging the Barriers of Linguistic
Relationship among Young Learners”.
OBJECTIVES
• To promote the significance of English language to one’s success.
• To establish a profound understanding and a deeper
appreciation towards English language.
• To create an English- speaking environment amongst
teachers and students.
SCOPE
This program is open to all students from different levels. English
teachers as well as English club officers and members are the ones who
will organize this event with the supervision of Virginia J. Bertulano,
