INSPECTION ACCOMPLISHMENTS

•Removal, inspection and repair combustion hardware.


•Combustion Inspection includes combustion liners, flow
sleeves,transition pieces, crossfire tubes and fuel nozzles
components.
•A borescope inspection of first-stage nozzle partitions and
buckets should be made during the combustion inspection
to note any wear or deterioration of these parts.
•It is recommended that replacement parts be available for
installation at the completion of the Combustion Inspection.
•The removed parts can then be inspected, serviced or
replaced for use at the next inspection.
Operation 1: Remove the cooling water lines from flame
detectors
Operation 2: Remove Flame detectors
Operations 3: Remove the liquid fuel purge lines
Operation 4: Remove primary and secondary liquid fuel lines
Operation 5: Remove the primary gas fuel lines
Operation 6,7 and 8: Remove the transfer fuel gas, secondary
fuel gas and atomizing air lines

Operation 9: Remove the false start drain tubing
Operation 10: Remove the secondary fuel nozzle
Operation 11: Remove the spark plugs
Operation 12 and 13: Remove the eleventh stage cooling and
sealing air
Operation 14: Remove fuel nozzle – end cover assemblies
Operation 15: Remove the crossfire tube retainers
Operation 15: Remove the combustion liners
Operation 15: Remove the crossfire tubes
Operation 16: Remove the access port blank flange from upper
turbine casing or other upper section of the atomizing air
extraction manifold
Operation 17: Remove the outer combustion casings and
flow sleeves
Operation 18: Remove transition pieces
