2.Motor space heater shall automatically switch off from switchgear.
3. Ensure the discharge BFV is 100% open within manufacturer specified time.

F)Starting sequence for next CW pump (During Normal Start up Sequence when one
CW pump is already in operation):
1. Starting of next CW Pump is to be prohibited for approximately 120 sec (should be
field settable & to be decided during commissioning) after starting of first CW P/P.
2. Other sequence for starting of the CW pump will be same as that indicated in clause
A & E above
G) Stopping sequence of CW pump will be as follows (Normal stop when no tripping
condition is prevailing)
1. Close command shall be given to pump discharge valve.
2. When BFV is closed up to 80 %,( position transmitter % settable at site) ‘STOP
COMMAND’ shall be given for CW motor.
3. Ensure BFV is 100 % close within specified time.
4. Switch off the Sealing / cooling water pump when main CW pump temperature is
reached to normal / ambient.

 Under any of the above conditions, pump will be tripped and emergency close
command will be given to discharge BFV. However if “Stop” command is given
by operator from DCS, normal close command shall be given to BFV.
I) Starting sequence for Standby CW pump.
1. Any of the pumps shall be selectable for working or standby or maintenance duty
through control system. The Pumps selected under Stand by duty shall come into
operation automatically when running pump tripped & respective HOPD valve
closed condition.
2. In Manual Mode the pumps to be started / stopped shall be selected by the
Operator depending on the requirement of the system. Under this mode upon
tripping of the operating pump. Next pump if required to be operated shall be
decided by operator.
3. In Auto mode the pumps starting/Stopping shall be identified sequentially and
tripping of operating pump shall initiate starting of the standby duty pump.
Under this mode, the number of pumps required to be operated can be one or two
as they may be and the selection shall be possible through control system.
4.When any of the two working CW pump discharge line pressure becomes LOW
LOW, the common Standby CW pump will be started.
5. All Other sequence such as starting of sealing / cooling water pumps and other
permissives will remain identical to main CW pump specified in clause E, Start
permissive for CW pump.
The Stopping and tripping conditions shall remain same as specified in clause G&H
J) OPEARTION FOR Electro Hydraulic BFV
Before opening/Closing BFV check the following conditions.

automatically. Again it will come in loading if pressure reduces to 7.0 kg/sq. cm.

C) Instrument Air compressors (2 Working + 1 Standby)


Initially 2 nos. (Selected working) compressors will be started one after another with
time delay of 20sec. which will maintain the system desired pressure 7.5kg/sq. cm to
8.5kg/ sq. cm. If any running compressor trips the selected “stand‐by” compressor will
automatically start to maintain the pressure.
D) A few strategic signals are taken to compressed air PLC system for remote
operation & monitoring of dryer system.
