Job Description for Cisco R&S Engineer

Skills:
Good knowledge on Cisco switching & routing technologies
Catalyst 2k, Catalyst 3k, Catalyst 4k, Catalyst 6k, Nexus 3K, Nexus 9K, ASR 9K
Cisco R&S technologies deployment, performance management and troubleshooting
Strong analytical skills for solving technical issues, isolation of application / network performance issues
Good technical documentation capabilities
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
Network operational support -LAN & WAN solutions
Responsible for Implementation / migration of network con gs as per LLD/NIP
Designing, implementing & supporting complex highly-available redundant Cisco networks with routers, switches.
Support/co-ordinate network changes and con guration, and ensures changes and adding of new devices are
compliant to pre-approved network design
Knowledge of Solution Designing with HLD/LLD and NIP
Monitor and perform critical changes, patches, upgrades on network infrastructure
Monitor and manage capacity and performance issues
Responsible for maintaining port-mapping, Impacted Device list, NIP (Target device Con guration) and MOP
(Migration steps, Rollback Plan, Decommissioning Plan) documents.
Co-ordinate with global IT resources, vendors and service providers for support and deployment
Analysing, troubleshooting and correcting network problems.
