Exercises
The exercise screen is made up of a number of questions followed by the option to check your scores.
At the bottom of an exercise you are given a number of options: check, submit, show answers and start
the exercise again.
Clicking produces a feedback pop-up and writes your percentage score to the Progress area.
You are only able to click once you have submitted your answers.
Clicking refreshes the screen and allows you to retake the exercise
Some exercises include audio, either at exercise or question level. If audio is present at exercise level
you will be able to use an audio player that includes the options to stop, pause, play, mute and increase
volume and where applicable click for a script.
Many of the exercises include articles and graphs. These are indicated by a clickable button next to the
rubric.
To drag and drop, simply drag the dark grey tokens to the gaps.
Some drag and drop exercises ask you to drop the tokens to specific areas such as columns.
Click and drag the sentences to make a coherent and correct paragraph. Often the first and final
sentences are fixed to give you an indication of the beginnings and end of the text.
The Strike Out exercise is accompanied by audio for each question. You will be required to listen to the
audio first and then choose the correct word. Clicking a word changes it to italics to indicate your chosen
answer for the question.
The Correct text exercise presents a number of sentences, asking you to correct or rewrite parts of the
sentence.
Exercise: Conversation
The Conversation exercise requires you to listen to each question. You will then be asked to record your
own answers. Once recorded you can play the audio back to yourself. You have the option to send your
recordings to your My Work area in your Portfolio.
