DE Die Leuchtenserie VELA ist bereits seit über 15 Jahren
im Produktportfolio von XAL etabliert und besticht seither
durch die Verbindung von reduziertem Design und innova-
tiver Technologie. Die Vielfalt der neuesten Generation der
Rundleuchtenserie VELA EVO reicht von Deckenaufbau
über abgependelte Varianten bis hin zur Wandaufbau-
leuchte. Erhältlich in zahlreichen Konfigurationsvarianten
kann VELA EVO variabel in jedes Raumkonzept integriert
werden.
EN The VELA series of luminaires has been an estab-
lished part of the XAL product portfolio for more than
15 years and over this time has become noted for its com-
bination of minimal design and innovative technology. The
variations in the latest generation VELA EVO round series
of luminaires range from ceiling mounted and suspended
versions to wall-mounted luminaires. Available in a wide
range of configurations, the VELA EVO can be flexibly
integrated into any room concept.

The Original
DE Bereits 2002 hat XAL die Deckenrundleuchte VELA
auf den Markt gebracht, die eine homogene Ausleuchtung
der Lichtaustrittsfläche bei fluoreszierenden Leuchtstoff-
lampen ermöglichte. In den Folgejahren wurde das Sortiment
um eine Wand- und eine Pendelleuchte erweitert. Mit der
Einführung der energieeffizienten LED-Technologie im Jahr
2010 wurden neue Maßstäbe gesetzt. Bei der Leuchten-
serie SONO konnte der Lumen-Output, bei maßgeblich
reduzierter Bauhöhe, annähernd verdoppelt werden. Die
neueste Generation der VELA EVO besticht durch verbes-
serte Effizienz, weitere Reduktion der Bauhöhe sowie das
neue Schnellmontagesystem.
EN Back in 2002, XAL first launched the VELA round ceil-
ing luminaire, which enabled homogeneous illumination of
the light-emitting surface through fluorescent light sources.
In the following years the range was extended to include a
wall and a pendant luminaire. The introduction of ener-
gy-efficient LED technology in 2010 set new standards in
lighting. With the SONO luminaire range, the lumen output
could almost be doubled, with a considerably overall reduc-
tion in height. The latest VELA EVO generation continues
to impress with its improved efficiency, further reduction in
overall height and the new quick-mounting system.

DE Die Leuchtenserie VELA EVO fügt sich in jede Umge-
bung hervorragend ein. Unterschiedliche Konfigurations-
varianten, wie zum Beispiel fünf Durchmesser und eine
ausgewogene Farbauswahl sorgen wahlweise für starke
Akzente oder eine zurückhaltende Beleuchtung.
Eine optionale indirekte Beleuchtung eröffnet noch mehr
Gestaltungsspielraum: mittels einer dekorativen Schatten-
fuge zur Decke hin erscheint die Leuchte schwebend.

EN The VELA EVO family of luminaires blends in with every
environment. Different options, such as five diameters
and a balanced colour selection, either create a strong
statement or illuminate discreetly. To create additional
highlights, indirect lighting can be added to the luminaire.
A "shadow gap" towards the ceiling suggests a suspended
appearance, and creates a decorative effect.

Easy and fast installation
DE   Bei der Weiterentwicklung der Leuchtenserie VELA EVO
wurde auf Lichttechnik und einfache Installation großer
Wert gelegt. Ein wesentlicher Vorteil zeigt sich bereits
bei der Montage. Die Leuchte besteht aus nur zwei Grund-
elementen: einer Montageplatte und einem geschlossenen
Leuchtenkörper. Dieser schützt die LED-Module vor
Berührung und damit auch vor Beschädigung. Das neue
Schnellmontagesystem führt zu einer erheblichen Reduk-
tion der Montagekosten.

EN   With the further development of the VELA EVO

series of luminaires, strong emphasis was placed on the
lighting technology and ease of installation. A significant
advantage is immediately apparent when mounting. The
luminaire consists of just two basic elements: a mounting
plate and a closed luminaire body. This protects the LED
modules from contact and therefore also from damage.
The new quick-mounting system results in a considerable
reduction in installation costs.

EN Through the use of highly efficient LEDs, with a colour rendering

index CRI ≥ 80 and colour temperatures of 3000 K and 4000 K, a light
output of up to 143 lm/W is achieved. Sophisticated thermal manage-
ment ensures a low operating temperature, which results in a sustained
low colour shift and high efficiency. Depending on the version, the
