Should abortion be legal?

“Estimates of the number of illegal abortions in the U.S during the 1950s and 1960s

range from 200,000 to 1.2 million per year.” Abortions should be illegal because the unborn

children due to abortions could be very helpful to the world,the bible is against abortion, babies

feel pain while being aborted, and its considered first degree murder in California. Abortions

should become illegal.

Abortion should be illegal because when women abort they are taking away opportunities

to children who didn’t ask to be here. In “What about equal rights for unborn women?” states

“​Because of the cause of “reproductive rights,” approximately 30 million females are missing in

the United States today – future Olympic athletes, scientists, doctors, artists, teachers, sisters,

mothers, daughters, lawmakers, and maybe even a President.” There are women who make

choice to end a beautiful child’s life instead of using some sort of protection so they child

wouldn’t be in the womb, it’s not the baby’s life he or she was being brought to the world.

Another reason abortion should be illegal because the bible is against abortion. In “The

Bible’s teaching against abortion” states “​ ​The Bible tells us of a God who is madly in love with

us, so much so that He became one of us and even died for us while we we’re still offending

Him. In the face of all this, can we say that human beings are disposable, like a car that becomes

more trouble than it is worth? "God doesn’t make junk." ​ ​If you believe the Bible, you have to

believe that human life is sacred, more sacred than we have ever imagined!” Abortion should be
illegal because God gives most but not all women the gift of having children and some don’t

realize there are other couples or women who want to have kids but can’t. It also talks about

how God didn’t create “trash”,we aren’t trash and an abortion is the same thing. Creating a baby

and throwing it to the trash.

A third reason abortion should be illegal because ​babies feel pain when being aborted. In

“Unborn babies feel pain” it states ​“ There is no anaesthetic for the baby. The abortionist inserts

the instrument (as with medical illustration on left) into the uterus, seizes a leg or other part of

the body and, with a twisting motion, tears it from the baby’s body.” Abortion should be illegal

because when a child is aborted they don’t have no anesthesia is used. The baby is ripped apart

with a pair of pliers. People don’t think a baby can feel pain when they're being ripped apart,

babies are humans too.

However, some people believe abortion should be legal because ​the US Supreme Court

has declared abortion to be a fundamental right guaranteed by the US Constitution. This doesn’t

explain how many children have been killed and suffered because their parents didn’t think of

using any type of protection and making the child suffer while it’s being aborted. The 14th

amendment states “​No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or

immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty,

or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal

protection of the laws.”​ This connects to my reason on how some people think abortion should

be legal because it’s saying how people have the right to abort if they chose to.

Abortion should being illegalized because the children being aborted could be very

helpful to the world ,the bible is against abortion, babies feel pain while being aborted, and
babies feel pain while being aborted.
