Dear Fellow Educator:

I have had the joy and satisfaction of working successfully with Kendra Beedle for the last year
as she was honoring a request from her principal to fill a 2nd & 3rd grade resource special
education teacher. In my capacity as IEP Coordinator for Plaquemines Parish School System,
I’ve personally witnessed her cooperative spirit, professional attitude, and caring disposition.

Kendra works collaboratively with her colleagues and has developed an especially close,
working relationship with parents and general education teachers at the primary/elementary
school level at Belle Chasse Primary School. She has held a position with Plaquemines Parish
School Board as a regular education and a special education teacher at one of our largest schools.
While there she has greatly impressed the school staff and central office department with her
skills and ability to work with students who are disabled even during her regular education
teacher opportunity. This is why she was selected by her principal to fill in as a special education
teacher when a sudden increase of special education students occurred last year.

With only one day’s training in special education paperwork, she has exceled at writing IEPs and
Behavior Plans and she is very reliable with both data collection and IEP paper work. She is an
extremely quick learner and has over a few months, one could not tell her from a veteran special
education teacher due to her determination and willingness to and ability to handle any job given
to her. I have always found her to be the quintessential professional, listening to others opinions
with interest, offering suggestions based upon sound pedagogy, and demonstrating a sincere
willingness to try new strategies. She earnestly cares for her fellow teachers and the students she
serves.

Kendra’s class workload had many difficult students with a variety of academic and behavioral
concerns. She worked with parents and teachers writing behavior plans and keeping data to
successfully transition the students into their next academic curriculum. She does not hesitate to
call parents and organize meetings to try to formulate a plan for a student's success. She is
passionate for the special education student and her presence on your teaching team will be a
tremendous asset.

Professionally,

Robyn R. Cox
