Incident Narrative 1 10/11/2017 04:16

Reporting OFFICER JASON HOLLENKAMP - NPD, ID # 9016
On 10/11/17 at approximately 0334 hours I (Officer J. Hollenkamp #9016) responded to Ave for a Cold Residential Burglary
call.

Upon arrival I met with . reported the following: Tonight sister, , called
at 1920 hours on 10/10/17. told that when she got home from work she observed his bedroom door open and the back sliding
door ajar. stated he remembers closing his bedroom door, which he typically does. came home from work at 2000 hours and
grabbed a pistol he keeps in his room and checked the residence for any prowler. No one was located and returned to work.
returned home after work at 0100 hours on 10/11/17 and observed his Assault Rifle that he keeps in his closet and a 9mm handgun that he
keeps in his dresser missing/stolen. did not specifically check or notice the guns missing/stolen during the previous check. called
his parents who are on vacation and told them of his missing/stolen guns. then tried calling and could not make contact with
her. then called 911.

It should be noted that in the closet where the AR was stolen from was 3 other older long guns, a black handgun that was sitting on the shelf
at eye level, and a duffle bag full of ammunition and an inoperable handgun.

showed me the sliding door and he stated the door was ajar about 2 inches and the lock was down. I did not observe any forced entry to
the door. Every other door in the residence was locked. stated they recently replaced all locks in the house and changed the garage
code. I did observe approximately $80 on the dining room table that sat in front of the sliding glass door that was not disturbed.
checked the house and did not locate any other property missing/stolen.

described the weapons that are missing/stolen as follows:

Assault Rifle (custom built)- Black $600

-16 inch barrel
-Midwest 13 inch rail
-Diamond black barrel
-Anderson lower receiver
-Bravo Company upper receiver
-Bravo Company buttstock
-Bravo Company charging handle
-Tan Magazine: 223 Federal Ammunition, Full Metal Jacket

Sccy 9mm Pistol- Two Tone (Nickel Upper and Black Lower) $250
-10 round magazine: Winchester Hollow Point Ammunition

Also stolen was the black leather inner waist band holster that the 9 mm was in. was unsure who may have stolen the weapons but
stated he last remembers seeing the AR on Saturday at approximately 2200/2300 hours. had no suspect information but stated his sister
and her boyfriend were home when called him. does not know very well as
does not speak with after he kicked out of the residence in the past for arguing with his sister. stated lived with
them for a couple months when was having problems with his family.

I took a digital photo of a AR Magazine that had that was identical to the one that was stolen.

was provided the NPD Victim Information Notice and told to called NPD if he was able to locate any identifying serial numbers to his
stolen weapons.

I later spoke to over the phone. reported the following: got home from work around 1820 hours. noticed
bedroom door open and the back sliding door ajar and called . left and picked up and returned home at 1930
hours. stated the only person she suspected was . stated she was friends with about a year ago.
stated that did come to her house at that time and she thinks she told him about owning firearms. stated there was a bad
falling out because and her boyfriend were jealous of each other. stopped talking to until a couple days ago when
tried talking to her over the phone. blocked from contacting her at that time. has no other reason to suspect
except for knowing has stolen from his friends before.

I talked to again over the phone and he stated he checked the back sliding door and he noticed he can lift the sliding door and get it
open even with it locked.

Incident Narrative 3 10/20/2017 09:12

Supplemental Reporting DETECTIVE JACOB ZABUKOVEC - NPD, ID # 6521
On 10/13/17, I spoke to by phone regarding this incident. informed me he left for work at about 1330 hours the day of this
incident, and he stated that was his normal time to leave for work. I asked why the locks to the residence were recently changed, and
informed me it was because the previous locks were just old and due to be replaced. I also asked about him kicking out of the
house. stated it was just due to and arguing, and everybody agreed it was probably best for to leave at that
moment. stated it was not a big deal. informed me he would not suspect anyone specific of committing this act.

Later on 10/13/17, I contacted by phone and she agreed to come to NPD to provide a recorded statement. I escorted to CID
interview room 1, and she consented to having our conversation recorded. I attached the video to this report. I informed of her
rights by reading from a pre-printed Miranda card. stated she understood her rights, and she agreed to speak about this incident.

informed me that she lives at with her mom, dad, and brother. She explained that she left for work at about 0940
Hours, and her parents were packing to leave for vacation when she left. stated she thought her parents were leaving shortly after she
left. also stated leaves for work every day between 1330-1400 Hours, and she stated worked the day of this incident.

stated she arrived home from work at about 1815 hours. At this time, she noticed bedroom door was open. looked
inside room and observed his closet door was also open. She thought this was unusual because she stated always closes his door,
but she thought maybe he was just in a hurry. stated she was home for about 20 minutes, and then she left to pick up .
arrived back at the house at about 1915 Hours. After returning to the house, observed the rear sliding door
was ajar, and the screen door was open. then texted and told him about the open doors. told her he would be there in
about 30 minutes.

arrived at the house and checked things, but they did not notice anything unusual at that time. After checking the house, returned
to work. stated she was uncomfortable staying at the house due to her feeling like somebody had been inside, so she went to stay the
night at residence. stated when she looked at her phone at about 0600 Hours, she saw several messages from . She
then learned that two guns were missing from I questioned on some of the information in the initial report. informed
me the initial report was not accurate because she never called . She also stated she did not call until she returned to the house
with . confirmed that and were present when he returned to the house. denied any knowledge or
involvement with this incident.

On 10/16/17, I received a call from . informed me that he checked his residence and noticed some cash was also missing.
explained he keeps an envelope in a folder, and the folder is kept in a hutch in the front room. stated they keep money in the
envelope for the kids in case they need cash while parents are gone. explained the kids know this envelope with cash is in the folder.
also informed me they keep another envelope hidden in the same folder that also contains cash, but the kids do not know about the second
envelope. stated while checking the house, he determined the envelope the kids are aware of was still in the in the folder and contained
the cash, but the second hidden envelope the kids did not know about had the money missing. estimated there was between $300-$500
missing.

informed me he and his wife left at about 1030 the day of this incident. also stated and have set schedules most days.
stated he talked to about this and questioned him regarding the missing items. told he did not have involvement.
informed me he did not think would commit this act because they allowed to live at the residence last spring for about
1.5 months to help him out and he believed when told him he did not commit this act.

I checked the area, but I was unable to locate any security cameras. I was able to talk to the neighbor that lives directly behind the residence,
and I was informed they did not observe any suspicious activity. I have checked pawn activity, but the firearms have not been sold or pawned
at any pawn shop. If the firearms have pawn activity in the future, NPD will be notified through LEADS on-line. Due to a lack of suspects
and evidence, I recommend this incident be Administratively Closed.
