NARRATIVE REPORT OF SCHOOL TO SCHOOL PARTNERSHIP OF

BUHAYNASAPA NHS AND TIPAS NHS
November 13, 2016

“Team Work will make Dream Work”

The common denominator for school progress is teamwork. This leads to many
productive and fecund upshots that benefited students and the school at large. In the
21st century world of teaching, everything has gone drastically. Whatever you may think
be applicable now may not be as effective as it was yesterday. This is a noteworthy turn
that needs to be addressed instantaneously so as to fulfill the ultimate goal of
education, literacy.

This year is a prodigious opportunity to share best practices in the field of what
we called “life itself”. The Buhaynasapa National High School as leader school and
Tipas National High School as partner school made this possible as they spearheaded
the third phase of school to school partnership for the betterment of both institutions. It
was conducted at Buhaynasapa National High School, Buhaynasapa, San Juan,
Batangas. The fundamental discussion focused on inclusive education
The program started with a solemn prayer led by Ms. Rochelle De Los Reyes
followed by the convivial message of the leader school principal, Mrs. Andrea
Malapitan. She oriented the faculty of the day’s flow of confab. After the stimulating
message of the head, the activities for the day-long program commenced.
Mr Darwin Virtusio, SPED II Teacher of East district, shared the best practices in
handling the mentally and physically challenged learners, as he became the resource
speaker of the day. He emphasized that these learners were not usual learners of usual
classroom with usual teachers. He added, though it was very important that they
needed to be treated as usual one, careful management should be administered to
meet their extraordinary needs. He also underscored that SPED teachers like them
employed immeasurable patience though sometimes they came to the end of their rope.
Most consolation they received was the unconditional love these special children
extended to them
After a short break, the program resumed with the conveyance of SPED
program. He told the group that the SPED school of both districts of San Juan were
growing faster and were ready to accommodate more challenged learners.
 He ended up with the statement that the most fulfilling students are not the bright
students whom we were so delighted with but to those challenged students whom
entrusted to us as our mission.
Mrs. Hazel Y. Manalo, school head of the partner school, delivered the closing
remarks stating the great mission of teachers was to transform all kinds of learners to
one productive citizen of the community.
