GENERAL NOTES

1. All dimensions are in centimetres, unless otherwise stated.

2. All dimensions to be checked and confirmed on site before commencement

of any work.

3. Written dimensions overrides scaled dimensions,thus all dimensions are

to be read and not at any time scaled from the drawing.

INTERNAL PLUMBING NOTES

1. Plumbing Pipework shall be of Polypropylene Random

copolymer PP-R PN 25 Plastic Piping
to DIN 8078 and DIN 8077 for both hot and cold water systems.

2. Hot Water System piping and associated equipment shall be insulated with
mineral wool, fiberglass or polyethylene foam thermal insulation clad with
gauge 24 galvanised mild steel sheeting for pipes exposed to weather and
suitable aluminum foil laminate for weather- protected pipes. thickness of
insulation shall be equal to piping diameter.

3. Piping and Equipment thermal insulation to conform to the latest editions

3 3 of BS 5970, BS 5422 and BS EN ISO 12241.

4. Installation of pipework to be carried out in accordance with the latest

editions of BS 6700, BS EN 806, local authority by-laws and piping
manufacturers' printed instruction and recommendations.

5. Hot Water Supply System to conform to BS code of practice

CP 342-2 : 1974 and the latest edition of BS 6700.

6. Isolating valves to be fitted on major pipe branches and at strategic /

convenient points to facilitate maintenance of sanitary fittings and piping.

7. Roof pipe penetration and flashing shall be to architect's and roofing

manufacturer's recommended details.

SANITARY DRAINAGE NOTES

1. The Sanitary Drainage to be of UPVC Pipework for soil

water drainage and MUPVC Pipework for waste water
drainage to BS EN 1329 -1:2000 and BS EN 1401-1:2009
for above and underground pipe work respectively.

3 3 2. Drainage Installation to be carried out in accordance with

the latest edition of BS EN 12056, local authority by-laws
and the material / equipment manufacturer`s printed
instructions.

3. Drainage ventilating pipes (vent pipes and stack vent pipes)

to terminate at least 900mm above any opening into the
building within 3000mm and should be finished with a
rodent and weatherproof vent cowl (wire cage or other
perforated cover), fixed at the end of the ventilating pipe,
which does not restrict the flow of air.

Water Drainage design and details.
