Strathclyde to study for the degree of PhD in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering (JACS
Code H500) on a full-time basis, starting January 2018 with a minimum duration of study of 36
months.

If you have any detailed questions about the nature of your proposed studies please write to the
Head of Department, Professor Dracos Vassalos. Your field of study will be "The Development of
Green Ship Recycling Yard in Indonesia". Your supervisor will be Dr Rafet Kurt. Your second
supervisor will be Professor Peilin Zhou.

Please note that your field of study and supervisors are subject to final approval.

month you start your course. For the next academic year you will be charged the full fees for that

years.

Provide evidence of a full Scholarship or pay a 2,000GBP deposit, which will be deducted from your

Overseas applicants in Science and Engineering will require to apply for an Academic Technology
Approval Scheme(ATAS) clearance certificate before coming to the UK. Please refer to

have accepted our offer of admission and fulfilled your conditions, you will need to ensure that you
have agreed a research statement with your selector for ATAS purposes. You will then be issued
with a Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS) which will include the research statement and
