Flash Drive
The appearance is the same with HDD canister. The drive uses not hard disk, but flash
memory for storage media. High-speed data access is available compared to the HDD.

FM (Flash Memory)
Each microprocessor has FM. FM is non-volatile memory which contains microcodes.

LFF (Large Form Factor)


LFF is a 3.5 inch drive. It is a generic term of components such as chassis equipped with 3.5
inch drives.

local site
The configuration in which there are one primary site and the two secondary sites. It is the
secondary site that is mainly used preferentially at the time of failure recovery (as the similar
term, see “intermediate site” and “remote site”).

It is the storage system located in the primary site of the remote copy.

It is the site to perform the application in normal operation.

It is the storage system located in the secondary site (remote site) of the remote copy.

It is the site that performs the application by switching from the primary site when a failure
occurs. It is also called as “Secondary site” (as the similar term, see “intermediate site” and
“local site”).
