testing, treating, squeezing, or most any other plug-

The Model TV-10 has been rigorously tested to pro-
vide the maximum pressure differential and tempera-
ture rating available from a cast iron bridge plug:
10,000 psi (689 bar) (from above and below) at 350°F
(177°C).
The Model TV-10 is “top venting” during drillout. The
“top venting” feature of the plug allows pressure from
below to equalize above the plug before the top slips
are removed by mill out. With the top slips intact dur-
ing pressure equalization, the plug will not be allowed
to travel up the hole with pressure build up from lower
zones.
The backup rings of the TV-10 are specially designed
to prevent element extrusion during extreme pressure
reversals. Also, the body lock ring traps the setting
force created by the setting tool into the packing ele-
ment to keep it packed-off during high-pressure appli-
cations.
The TV-10 is designed with a small OD and swab re-
sistant packing element configuration for easy run-in
on wireline. The TV-10 can also be set hydraulically
as well as on wireline.

REMEDIAL SYSTEMS
The array of Stinger Subs available incorporate a snap-in, snap-out, type latch which provides surface indication
of the stinger being landed in the cement retainer giving assurance that the valve is open or closed. The Stinger
Subs also incorporate a seal system that assures a pressure tight barrier between the stinger and the retainer
for maximum pressure application below the retainer.
The available Wireline Accessories can assist in wireline applications ranging from determining if the wellbore
is large enough to permit subsequent passage of wireline tools to cleaning junk and debris from the wellbore.
The Wireline Accessories are available in a variety of sizes for all wireline needs.

SETTING TOOL
Product Family No. H43719
The Model J Hydraulic Setting Tool is designed to set
mechanical set bridge plugs on coiled tubing. The Mod-
el J is available in the same sizes as the Model E-4
Wireline Pressure Setting Assembly (WLPSA) and can
be used in place of the E-4 when applicable. The
Model J uses the same adapter kits as the Model E-4
WLPSA.
A setting ball is used to activate the setting tool; how-
ever, a “non-ball” operated system is available that uti-
lizes specific flow rates to operate the tool.
The Model J can be run in high angle or deviated wells
where wireline setting is extremely difficult or impossi-
ble. The Model J is hydraulically balanced while run-
ning in the hole.

controlled set is required for cement retainers or bridge plugs when sufficient
hydrostatic head is available. An ignitor and power charge initiate the setting
process then the setting tool uses hydrostatic pressure to generate up to
90,000 lbs (40,823 kg) of setting force. The setting time is variable from almost
instantaneous to over an hour by changing the number of stages and metering
cartridges.
Due to the numerous variables that effect the function of the Model L Setting

CIRCULATING VALVE
Product Family No. H33061
The Thru-Tubing Circulating Valve provides a large
area circulation path between the coiled tubing ID and
the annulus. The circulation ports are opened by drop-
ping a ball to its seat in the valve and applying pressure
in order to shear some shear screws and move a pis-
ton downwards. Once the valve has been opened the
ball and seat seal in the mandrel ID below the ports ef-
fectively blocking off any further fluid bypass to below.
This feature allows for the use of the valve for the spot-
ting of fluids above a set inflatable packer with the
knowledge that all fluids are being directed out of the
circulating valve and not to below the packer. Applica-
tions for the circulating valve include chemical treat-
ments above a set packer, cement placement above a
permanent bridge plug, debris barrier placement
above a retrievable bridge plug, etc. The tool may be
supplied with an integral rupture disc port for use when
dropping a ball may not be possible, i.e., in a plugged
situation. Here the rupture disc may be over pressured
in order to achieve circulation in order to allow further

PRESSURE OPERATED
CIRCULATING VALVE
Product Family No. H33051
The Thru-Tubing Pressure Operated Circulating Valve
provides a means of opening communication from the
inside of the coiled tubing to the annulus. The tool may
be used above such tools as packers to allow treating
above the set tool or, in the case of a straddle system,
to provide communication between the packers. The
Pressure Operated Circulating Valve is normally a
closed valve and is opened by applying tubing pres-
sure. The applied pressure acts on an unbalanced pis-
ton inside the housing. This piston is retained in the
closed position by shear screws. When the predeter-
mined value of these shear screws is reached, the pis-
ton is pumped down opening ports to the annulus.
Once the valve is opened, it cannot be shut again.

EQUALIZING/CIRCULATING VALVE
Product Family No. H33075
The Thru-Tubing Equalizing/Circulating Valve pro-
vides a means of opening a communication path be-
tween the coiled tubing ID and the annulus by applying
tension to the coiled tubing. This communication path
may be used to equalize pressure from the coiled tub-
ing to annulus, circulate fluids from the coiled tubing to
the annulus, and various other operations. The circu-
lating path can be opened and closed multiple times by
either applying tension to the coiled tubing or setting
down on the set tool below. Running in the hole, the
tool is held in the closed position by pressure release
dogs. When pressure is applied to the coiled tubing to
set the inflatable element of the tool below, the dogs

PULL-TO-EQUALIZE VALVE
Product Family No. H33001
The Pull-To-Equalize Valve may be added to a Thru-Tubing Retrievable Packer
System. The standard packer uses a ball to operate the equalizing mechanism.
In some cases, such as a squeeze operation, it may not be possible to circulate
a ball to its seat in the packer. Here a Pull-To-Equalize Valve may be run. By the
application of tension applied to the coiled tubing, the equalizing valve will be
sheared open and the zones above and below the set packer allowed to com-
municate. Once equalization is complete, a minimal amount of set-down weight
is required in order to latch the packer pull release mechanism.
Pull-To-Equalize Valve
Product Family No. H33001
THRU-TUBING FLUID
LOADING VALVE
Product Family No. H33050
The Thru-Tubing Fluid Loading Valve (FLV) was de-
signed to allow the coiled tubing to be filled with a lim-
ited amount of fluid (water), prior to running in the hole,
with which to inflate the element when setting in condi-
tions where a large pressure imbalance would exist be-
tween the hydrostatic of a fluid column in the coiled
tubing to the setting depth bottom hole pressure in low
pressure wells. This allows for the element to be inflat-
ed with fluid while allowing for the coiled tubing to be
pressurized with a gas. The FLV utilizes a sleeve type
design which allows an exterior port to be either
opened or closed to the interior of the tool. After a suf-
ficient amount of fluid has been pumped into the coiled
tubing (to inflate the element), the valve is closed by
means of rotation of this outer sleeve. The filler hose is
then removed and the outer sleeve locked by means of
set screws.

SURFACE CONTROL
INFLATED (SCI) PIP
Product Family No. H30010
The Surface Control Inflated (SCI) PIP is a resettable
packer that is usually used in shallow, high-pressure
formations. The SCI PIP is designed for permanent or
temporary use in open hole or casing. The SCI PIP is set
by applying pressure through 1/4" (6.3 mm) OD inflation
control tubing. Pressure enters into the element and
inflates the element against the wellbore. The surface
pressure is then locked in the element by closing the
surface valve on the 1/4" (6.3 mm) OD tubing.
FEATURES/BENEFITS
• Sets in casing or open hole
• Element OD sizes from 3-1/2" (88.9 mm) to 13-7/8"
(352.4 mm)
• Pressure ratings of the element are the same as for
single set or resettable PIPs
• Positive control over inflate pressure at all times
• Inflate tube fittings on top and bottom so multiple
packers (straddle) can be run and controlled together
• No integral valving system or deflate mechanism allows
the packer to be deflated by simply opening the surface
valve

FILL-UP SUB
Product Family No. H30098
The Fill-Up Sub allows filling of the run-in string and re-
moves any chance of prematurely inflating a bull
plugged inflatable bridge plug. A 1" (25.4 mm) side port
in the sub allows the run-in string to communicate with
the annulus. The side port is shut off by dropping a ball
in the run-in string, thus allowing pressurization of the
string and setting of the inflatable bridge plug. The run-
in string will drain through the three 1/2" (12.7 mm) in-
flation holes while the drop ball is retrieved in the fill-up
sub with the run-in string.
Fill-Up Sub
Product Family No. H30098
FILL-UP VALVE
Product Family No. H30304
The Fill-Up Valve is designed to allow annulus fluids to
enter and fill the tubing as it is lowered into the well-
bore. By equalizing tubing and annulus pressure, the
Fill-Up Valve eliminates problems associated with hy-
drostatic pressure differentials. The valve automatical-
ly opens with 25 psi (1.7 bar) annulus overbalance and
closes once the pressure is equalized. The Fill-Up
Valve is permanently latched into the closed position
with 400 psi (27.5 bar) applied tubing pressure.

HYDRAULIC RELEASE
RUNNING TOOL (HRRT)
Product Family No. H30025
The Hydraulic Release Running Tool (HRRT) is normally
used as a running tool for the PIP Retrievable Bridge Plug.
The HRRT allows the release of the tubing from the bridge
plug by applying pressure rather than rotating the tubing
string. This can be an advantage in deviated/horizontal
holes or in any other situation where tubing manipulation
is difficult. The HRRT consists of two assemblies, the lug
nipple and the hydraulic disconnect.
FEATURES/BENEFITS
• Allows disconnecting from bridge plug without rotation
• Controls the PIP inflation pressure
• Lug nipple also has a ball seat to provide secondary
means of disconnecting
• Bridge plug is retrieved using the standard method with
a modified Model J™ Coupling Overshot
• Can be used with other compatible tools as an emer-
gency disconnect

DELAYED
OPENING VALVE
The Delayed Opening Valve pre-
vents the element from being pre-
maturely inflated when fluid is
circulated down the tubing or
when the tubing is filled in a low
fluid level well.
PULL RELEASE
SUBASSEMBLY
Standard release requires right-
hand rotation which releases the
left-hand thread release coupling.
Delayed Opening Valve
Slight tension moves the mandrel
into the deflate position while the
Pull Release Subassembly
travel is controlled by the bumper
sub housing.
A pull release version is also avail-
able which requires tension to be
applied to the workstring in order
to shear the preset shear pins.
This option includes a shock ab-
sorber inside the bumper sub
housing which cushions and limits
the mandrel travel to the deflate
position. Not recommended for
use where the tubing must be ten-
sioned to operate other downhole
equipment.

PIP OPTIONS Baker Oil Tools
NON-ROTATING
TAILPIPE
When two or more PIP tools are
run in the tool string, it may be un-
desirable to release them all at the
same time. Excessive torque may
be required to turn all mandrels at
once or the pressure imbalance in
the hole may make it desirable to
release one tool at a time. The no-
turn tailpipe assembly allows the
top tool to be rotationally released
and deflated prior to rotating the
next tool.
When tools are run in a straddle
configuration and fluid is injected
between them, a large force can
be created that tends to push the
tools apart. The no-turn tailpipe is
connected to the element which is
capable of withstanding a larger
separating force than that of the
PIP mandrel. The no-turn tailpipe,
therefore, gives a straddle section
a higher pressure rating.
