INFORMATION

The undersigned City Prosecutor of the City of Batac, Ilocos Norte,

accuses JOEL YATAR Y QUIAOIT a resident of Brgy. Acosta, Batac City, Ilocos
Norte, Philippines of the special complex crime of Rape with Homicide as
defined under Article 266-B of Revised Penal Code as amended by Republic
Act No. 8353 (The Anti-Rape Law of 1997) committed as follows:

That on or about the morning of June 30, 1998 at Brgy. Acosta, Batac
City, Ilocos Norte and within the jurisdiction of the Honorable Court, the
accused in order to have carnal knowledge of a certain KATHYLYN D. UBA,
seventeen years old, did and there wilfully, unlawfully, and feloniously, and
with the use of a bladed weapon, stab the latter inflicting upon her fatal
injuries resulting in the death of the victim and on the occasion or by reason
thereof, accused, wilfully, unlawfully and feloniously, and by means of force
and violence had carnal knowledge of said KATHYLYN D. UBA against her will.

this case in accordance with law that the complainant and his witnesses were

evidence presented, there is reasonable ground to believe that a crime has been
committed, and that the accused is probably guilty thereof and that the
accused was informed of the complaint and the evidence submitted against
him and was given an opportunity to submit controverting evidence.
