INDUSTRIAL VISITS
Students of Petroleum Engineering visited Oil and Natural Gas Corporation
(ONGC), operational sites (Drilling rig & Production installation ) on 16th to 18th
February 2018.

GUEST LECTURE
A guest lecture on "Recent trends in Petroleum Engineering“ was organized by
the Department of Petroleum Engineering on 19th August 2017. Mr.D.Sunil Deva
Josh, General Manager (GM Projects) - Orchid Chemicals and pharma Ltd
was consented to be the chief guest.
 FACULTY DEVELOPMENT TRAINING PROGRAM
(FDTP) WINTER 2017
A 7 days FDTP on Process Control & Instrumentation was organized by
Department of Petroleum Engineering approved by Anna University from 4 th
December 2017 to 10th December 2017. Faculties from various participated and
benefited from the training program.
 WORKSHOP

A Two days workshop on “RESERVOIR CHARACTERIZATION &

MODELING ” was organized by the Department of Petroleum Engineering on
16th & 17th February 2017. Mr J.Vignesh ,Assistant Professor/Petroleum
Engineering, Excel college of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore
delivers the speech to the gathering
 VALUE ADDED COURSE

A four days workshop on “ Institutional Occupational Safety and Health” was

organized by Department of Petroleum Engineering conducted by Green World
Group on 21.3.18 to 24.3.18 for final year students.

STUDENTS ACHIEVEMENTS

Mr. Md Maajith Sohail G, Mr. Bharath S, Mr. Mahmood Athil L.K.S, Mr. Joe
Anton Jeriff G, Mr. Al Fayaz K.S, Mr. Arshad Hussain H, Mr. Nazirudin M,
Petroleum engineering students have bagged the 1 st place in URJOTSAV’17 on
the title “A Case Study on Deep Water Horizon accident” held at Rajiv Gandhi
Institute of Petroleum Technology, Raebhareilly, UP on 17th-19th February 2017.

Ms.Anjana Manavalan & Ms.B.Vaishnavi Petroleum engineering students

attended a one day Conference on “Green Technology and waste management”,
at Madras Institute of Technology (MIT, campus Anna University),Chennai Won
1ST Prize in PAPER PRESENTATION. Receiving the appreciation certificate
from our Chairman, DACE.
Mr. S.Arun Kumar, student of Petroleum engineering have won 2nd place in 34th
Tamilnadu State Seniors Karate Championship held at Anna Indoor stadium, trichy
on 7th & 8th January 2017.
Mr. S. Mohideen Abu Haniffa & Mr.M.Mohammed Irfan Khan, students of
Petroleum engineering have won 2nd place for paper presentation at Veltech
Hightech Dr.Rangarajan Dr.Sakunthala Engineering college held on 31.08.2015.

Mr. S. Mohideen Abu Haniffa, III year Petroleum engineering have won 1st
place for paper presentation at Veltech Hightech Dr.Rangarajan Dr.Sakunthala
Engineering college held on 15th February 2017. Receiving the appreciation
certificate from our Chairman and Principal, DACE.
