• Planned, taught, and assessed all subject areas in the classroom during my three weeks lead teaching.
• Constructed a five-week research unit where students created a biome brochure for the Matthaei Botanical
Garden’s Earth Day celebration.
• Assessed students’ math understanding by evaluating student work in journals and homework. Adjusted
subsequent instruction and prepared target lessons for guided groups.
• Organized morning meeting by incorporating community building activities.
• Conducted two-day lesson on the public issue of composting through evidence-based discussions.
• Designed and instructed a two-day lesson on metaphors where students created, revised, and shared their
poetry; which enhanced students enjoyment of poetry.
