To Whom It May Concern:

It is my pleasure to write this letter of support on behalf of Ms. Kathryn Stuff. I have known and
worked with Ms. Stuff for the past two years, and in that time she has proven herself to be a passionate,
intelligent, and dedicated individual who is highly motivated towards improving the fields of education
technology and computer science education.

I have had the privilege of having Ms. Stuff as a student in my K-12 Technology Leadership course, as
well as an Undergraduate Lab Assistant (ULA) for my Computers in Education course and Technology
Leadership course. Through both of these roles, Ms. Stuff has demonstrated a strong passion for
leadership. Most ULAs in our program act as assistants who help the course instructors; however, Ms.
Stuff has set herself apart by regularly teaching activities and lessons that she has designed herself,
proving that even as a preservice teacher, she is absolutely ready to begin work in the field.

As a teacher, I believe I am fortunate to have had a student like Ms. Stuff in my class. She helped lead
class discussions, submitted work of the highest caliber, and consistently went above and beyond
expectations. But she was not content to only do good work for herself, as she regularly supported her
peers and offered her time and assistance to others in the class as well. These attributes have carried
over to her work as a ULA and she can quite often be found in the School of Education Collaboration
Room, helping students from our class by providing feedback and sharing her expertise.

Outside of the classroom, Ms. Stuff has proven her dedication to the field through an impressive number
of field experiences and professional development opportunities. She has lead numerous coding,
programming, and robotics activities, as well as helping to lead professional development activities for
inservice teachers at local schools. And throughout all of her work in the field, she has found time to
serve Indiana University in multiple capacities through Alpha Phi Omega, IU Dance Marathon, Challah
for Hunger, and many others.

In short, Ms. Stuff is both an exemplary student and leader. She has proven herself to be dedicated to
helping students and peers, and has a strong drive towards improving the state of education technology.
In short, I recommend and support Ms. Stuff without hesitation. If you have any questions, please feel
free to contact me. Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Michael Karlin
