called SOI #005) role in said incident, information about
Florence Ythier’s Journal

Transcript:

Interviewer: Good morning, Andrew. How are you feeling today?

SOI #005: How do you expect me to feel? I'm being held prisoner
by an organization I poured my heart and soul into for
something I didn't even know I have a connection to! I'm feeling
great. Damn great I tell you.

I: I understand your confusion, but I am only here to talk to

you about the incident and, specifically, the journal.
(Interviewer places journal on table then starts wiping her
hand on her upper leg as if her hand was moist)
S: Keep that god-forsaken book away from me.

I: You will have to cooperate in order for us to help you,

Andrew.

S: (sighs) Fine. Whaddya wanna know? I already talked to

[REDACTED] about this, so I don't even get the point of all this
crap.

I: Let's start at the beginning. Tell me what your purpose was

during the research on the journal.

S: I was responsible for reading pages from the journal and

documenting as much of my discoveries as possible. Due to the
limit of two to three pages per person, my job was… short-lived,
to say the least.

I: Which pages did you read? Can you remember anything of

what you read?

S: ‘Course I can. I read pages one to three. The first one was
just some stupid person writing about the forest they were in
being weird and full of monstrosities. Stone trees, purple
leaves that followed her like eyes… you name it, she got it.
Crazy stuff. After reading that, we started speculating on if
the author, Florence, was losing her mind or if what she wrote
was actually true. Of course we now know that it might just be
true. Our team started their research on where this forest
might be located but we didn't have much more than an educated
guess. That Florence woman just didn't give us enough
information.

I: What was your guess?

S: We thought it might be the [REDACTED] forest. But right now,
your guess is as good as ours to be honest.
So anyway, the second page was about…
Wait, just give me a second..

(SOI #005 turns his head towards the wall, seemingly focusing
on a spot beyond it. He starts murmuring something, not loud
enough for anyone in the room to understand.)

I: Excuse me? Can you repeat that?

(SOI #005 sharply turns his head toward the interrogator in

one swift movement, proceeding to look into interrogator's eyes,
his own eyes having lost all color.)

S: YOUWILLALLBEJUDGED

I: Judged for what, exactly?

(SOI #005's eyes turn back to normal. He looks around himself

confused, then proceeds to answer the question about Journal
page 2.)

S: Oh yeah! It was something about a river. For some reason my

memories don't seem to stay together on this one, but I know it
was about her passing by a river at the edge of that stone-
tree-purple-leaf forest. Something happened.. Something that
unsettled her. I just don't know what it was

(SOI #005's eyes turn pale again. He starts banging his head
against the table, seemingly not feeling his skull break from
the force.)
I: Goddammit, get security in here. This is the third one so far.
We gotta change how we do this.

(Security personnel enters interrogation room, waits for

instructions.)

I: Yeah, just wait until he stops. Won't be that long ‘til he can't
move anymore.

(SOI #005 stops after one minute of continuously banging his

head against the table. Blood drips from what used to be his
face. With one final, swift movement, subject moves his head
towards the table. Blood splatters out from the point of
impact. No more movement.)

I: There you go. Get him out of here and clean up. I'm done for
today. This is ridiculous.

(Interviewer leaves room. Security personnel moves corpse out

of the room, cleaning personnel enters and starts cleaning off
blood from walls and floor.

Addendum 002-003-N – Update on interrogation procedures

As of September 20, 2049, interrogation procedures of
incarcerated research staff members connected with incident
[REDACTED] will be ceased immediately due to the information
gained not being useful for investigation and research staff
members' mortality rate.
UntilYOUAREASKINGTHEWRONGQUESTIONS further notice,
keep staff members incarcerated in high security facility
[REDACTED].
Addendum 002-005-X – Order to re-start interrogation procedures:
As of December 16, 2049, interrogation of incarcerated research
staff members connected with incident [REDACTED] will be re-
initiated ASAP due to complications at the [REDACTED] volcano's
caldera. It is believed by research personnel that further
investigation into the Journal will lead to information on
how and why these incidents happen and possibly information
about how to use them for the Federation's advantage in
establishing their power over [REDACTED]. Considering the
deaths of all so far interrogated personnel, the nine will
provide the interrogation team withWHYDOYOUDOTHIS for aid
in creating an interrogation procedure that will lead to more
information while minimizing reduction in productivity by
mortality.
