I am khush bakht with my team member samreen masroor. And we are here to discuss and share
with u all about the supply chain of shirazi trading company.

Slide 1:

This is the frame work of our presentation. We will start with introduction then we’ill discuss the
products and services in which sherazi company deals with. Then about compeptitors, basic
supply chain model, import procedure, leading time, there warehousing facilities, total cost and
defect detection.

Slide 2:

Starting with the introduction of Atlas group The foundation of the Atlas Group was laid in
1962 with the establishment of Shirazi Investments (Pvt) Limited with a capital of half a million
rupees but now there equity stands over 25 billion rupees. There personnel strength is 7000 and
there annual sales crossed 60 billion. The taxes they paid to government are over 15 million that
is more then 2% of total government revenue. They believe that all this progress is due to
intellectual capital, dedicated efforts and team spirit and there group motto is:

“Organization development through self development”

Shirazi Trading Company (Pvt) Limited was established in 1973 to undertake imports, exports,
representations and franchises. The operations have been growing since then and it is one of the
leading companies in Pakistan in trading of office equipment. Shirazi Trading has a tie-up with
several US, European and Japanese

Products of Shirazi Trading Company Pvt. Ltd. mainly divided into three Divisions:

1. In Office equipment division they have franchise and distribute such products as
Copiers, Color lasers and Black and White Fax machines, High Speed Scanners and
Electronic Filing Systems. They have exclusive distribution rights for world famous
Pitney Bowes mailing systems and paper handling systems in Pakistan. They also deal in
Medical systems such as XRay equipment.
2. Office automation division

Shirazi Trading Company (Private) Limited has entered into An agreement With Siemens
Pakistan to supply, Install and Maintain their world renown HiPath 1100 telecommunication
system in Pakistan
 3. Engineering & project division is involved in designing, fabrication, installation and
maintenance.

Cuming to services, Shirazi Trading provides total system solution for desktop printing.
Shirazi Trading’s Service Department are at all major cities of the country. Service department
keeps regular contact with the customers to increase customer satisfaction.

They also provide spare parts of machines and other equipments in which they deal with.

Slide 6:

The supply chain of Shirazi Trading Company is very simple. They contact the principal, actual
producer of products and they themselves are the distributors. They distribute products to
companies, organizations, institutions and businesses and do not cater to individual household
consumer needs.

Slides 7:

Suppliers: Shirazi Trading Company maintains direct relation with all of its suppliers. In rare
cases however, they do carry on with indenting.

Canon: Canon is the oldest supplier of Shirazi Trading Company. Shirazi Trading & Canon have
had a strong relation of mutual trust for the last 85 years.

Shipping companies: The relationship with shipping companies is usually not very long term
relationship. This is because it’s the principal who selects the shipping company for the transfer
of machinery to Pakistan, while the transportation of machinery within Pakistan is done by the
company themselves.

Other departments: Supply chain management department stays in regular contact with the
marketing and sales department to have all this information.

The marketing and sales department is in direct contact with the customers, so they are most well
informed about the trends in the market. Supply chain management also stays in contact with the
IT department. This is because IT department develops the specifications on which the supply
chain management department selects the products of a particular suppliers.
