MF-1220 Multichannel Vector Filter

The MF-1220 Vector Filter supplies the optimum data for vibration vector analysis of
large turbines and other rotating machinery. The MF-1220 accepts the overall
vibration output from vibration transducers (on up to 12 channels) and the phase
reference signal (1 pulse per revolution) from a phase marker transducer, and outputs
the vibration vector X-Y components and overall amplitude in real time on separate
channels. It also provides the flexibility to cope with both single and dual rotor
turbines. (the maximum number of channels for dual shaft monitoring is 6 channels/5
channels.)

■ Main Functions 6. Accepts both displacement and velocity signals

1. High measuring accuracy The Vector Filter is designed to accept and process vibration
High accuracy and sophisticated analytical functions are realized by inputs both in the form of displacement signals from non-contacting
adoption of a high performance tracking filter using a high efficiency eddy-current transducers and in the form of velocity signals from
multiply type D/A converter. Filter bandwidth is selectable between velocity transducers.
0.2Hz /2Hz / AUTO. Velocity vibration signals are processed after conversion to a
proportional displacement amount in the built-in integrated circuit.
2. Capable of analyzing vibrations in the micro range Because the channels can be operated independently, both

range based on the X (real) and Y (imaginary) information.
7. Selectable input sensitivity
3. Order ratio (1N, 2N) vibration analysis Each channel is provided with a switch for changing the input

4. Coordinate polarity for nyquist plots is selectable 8. Easy change-over between single and dual shaft
The coordinate polarity (rotating direction) can be toggled between arrangements
clockwise and counterclockwise by means of a built-in switch. Change-over between single and dual shaft monitoring is made
easy by simply exchanging a card.
5. Choice between auto trigger and manual trigger No hardware changes are necessary.
Auto trigger with excellent followup response adopted as trigger for
the phase reference signal. Manual adjustment of the trigger 9. 5-digits digital display indicator of machine speed
threshold is also possible. Equipped with a digital display to provides a 5-digit readout of the
machine speed.
