to me

Dear Ma'am,

After leaving Mithibai, I pursued MA in English Literature at Saurashtra University, Rajkot, wherein I was
awarded the gold medal. Currently, I am at Central University of Gujarat, Gandhinagar, pursuing MPhil-
PhD.

I had fantastic time at Mithibai, and it was here my desire to get into academia blossomed.

Hello Ma'am,
I hope you are doing well. With facebook keeping us all updated, I'm glad to know that you are now Dr.
Vidya Premkumar, congratulations!
As you requested in the post, here's what I'm doing:

https://soundcloud.com/viciousrecordings/into-the-light-original-mix?in=viciousrecordings/sets/j-cannons-
ft-shiyana-into-the
This is a collaboration with an Australian DJ/Producer - J Cannons signed to Vicious Recordings
Australia, released on 19th May 2014 on Beatport and 16th June 2014 on iTunes. J Cannons ft. Shiyana
"Into The Light” charted at #63 on Beatport Progressive House Charts.

This makes me one of the very few singers to be on a major independent label out of India, and amongst
the first 5 Asian singers having a song charting under top 100 on Beatport. I'm glad Mithibai encouraged
me via the fests that I got to participate in, to become a better singer and gain a lot of confidence through
the exposure and experiences from stage performances. The poetries helped with the songwriting. As far
as academics went, I think, having 80% of my concentration on what I really wanted to do had to over
power the other side, because, once you've decided, it's an addictive light. Although, I really did try to
balance them, and with a very bright smile, I am very proud to have no ATKTs in all of my college life!
Haha.
I'm thankful to all the professors who understood my situation and overlooked the bunking when I was too
overworked with the anxiety and preparations of the fests, I hope I made them proud with whatever I was
capable of at that point of time.

All my respect, love and regards,

Thank you for the time, energy and advices,
Kripa Kataria (Shiyana).

Hi Vidya Ma'am! :)

Hope you have been doing fine. :)

Saw your post on Facebook so I was like I will email you.

After graduation, I pursued my diploma in Journalism, interned with a news website, newspaper and a
publishing house. I forayed into advertising with content writing simultaneously studying for my Masters
and now I am working as a copywriter.

My graduation year has been the best year. It truly brought out the magic of studying Literature. The best
part is that it acts like a filter. It helps you to see through so many things. You start understanding
perspectives. You start to understand people and their motives. You start to understand thought
processes. More than texts and poems, what was important were the teachings that we have taken from
the classes, even the 7 am ones. :P where it was just not possible to open eyes. :P

Every second of that year was magical. Struggle did not seem like struggle and the end reward was
beyond pleasing. I never thought I would be able to graduate in Literature, but I even did my Masters. It is
all because of the teachers and the way all of you motivated us. I think that was the bestest part of
Mithibai. Thank you ma'am, it is because of you and all the teachers that we are where we are today. :)

Loads of love,
Disha

to me

Hello ma'am,
I did not continue with literature after b.a. as I wanted to become a French professor. So I did a teaching
course(ecce)and learnt advance french from l'alliance Française de Bombay. After finishing my courses I
gave private tuitions for few years. Currently working at Cambridge school ICSE as French teacher.
But I can never forget what you teachers have taught us. Those were the lessons for life, it really
groomed me and made me more confident then before. A big thank you to you , Philips ma'am, and Priya
ma'am.

thank you for all the knowledge, time, care and affection you showered on us selflessly. You
all will always be my inspiration.
