Denver, CO, July 04, 2018 --(PR.com)-- The Institute for Limb Preservation (ILP), in partnership with
Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute (Sarah Cannon) at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center (P/SL), is proud
to sponsor “Rock the Cause Sarcoma Awareness,” an event geared to raise funds and awareness for the
Sarcoma Foundation of America (SFA). More than 16,000 adults and children will be diagnosed with
sarcoma, a rare cancer in the musculoskeletal system, in 2018 and more than 5,000 will perish from the
disease.
ILP, in partnership with Sarah Cannon at P/SL, is pleased to sponsor the “Rock the Cause Sarcoma
Awareness” event on July 26, 2018 at Black Shirt Brewing Co. located at 3719 Walnut Street, Denver,
CO 80205. Doors open at 6pm and the concert starts at 7pm. All funds raised will go to the SFA.
Presenters include:
- Maureen Tarrant, President & CEO of P/SL
- Rich Rumsey, Chief Executive Officer of SFA
- Dr. Cynthia Kelly and Dr. Daniel Lerman, orthopedic oncologists at ILP, in partnership with Sarah
Cannon at P/SL
- Sarcoma survivors sharing their heroic stories
“At the Institute for Limb Preservation, in partnership with Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute at
Presbyterian/St. Luke's, we have a highly experienced team dedicated to treat the sarcoma population and
our outcomes are some of the best in the nation,” states Maureen Tarrant, President & CEO at P/SL. “We
are proud to support this event and the Sarcoma Foundation of America by raising funds and awareness
dedicated to sarcoma research.”
