‫ من کمینہ بردہ عم‬،‫تو کریمی‬

[Tu Kareemi Mun Kamina Barda Um]

You, the Gracious One and I, the ignoble, standing at Your door

‫لیکں از لطف شمار پروردہ عم‬

[Laikin Az Lutf-e-Shuma Parwarda Um]

You are my Cherisher.

‫زندگی آمد برائے بندگی‬

[Zindagi Aamad Bara’ay Bandagi]

Life’s purpose is [divine] devotion

‫ شرمندگی‬،‫ بے بندگی‬،‫زندگی‬

[Zindagi Be Bandagi Sharmindagi]

Life, without devotion, disgrace

‫یاد اے او سرمایہ ایماں بو ند‬

[Yaad E Oo Sarmaya-e-Eeman Bo’ad]

Remembrance of him is the foundation of faith.

‫ از یاد او سلطاں بوند‬، ‫ھرگدا‬

[Har Gada Az Yaad-e-Oo Sultan Bo’ad]

The beggars are like kings due to his remembrance.

‫سید و سرور ؐمحمد نور جاں‬

[Sayyad O Sarwar Mohammad Noor E Jaan]

Liege lord, Oh Muhammad (PBUH) you are the light of our lives,

‫معتر او بھتر شفیع مجرمان‬

[Mehtar O Behtar Shafi E Mujrimaan]

The mighty and the best intercessor of the wrong-doers

‫چوں ؐمحمد پاک شد از نار او دود‬

[Choon Muhammad Pak-e-Shud Az Nar O Dood]

Since Muhammad (PBUH) was purified of worldly things,

‫ھر کجا روح کرد وجہ ﷲ بود‬

[Her Kaja Roo Karad Wajhullah Bood]

Whatever direction He turned is found the Face of Allah

‫شھباز الماکانی جان او‬

[Shahbaaz Lamakani Jaan-e-Oo]

His soul is like the Falcon of the High Heavens

‫رحمت لل عالعمیں در شان او‬

[Rehmatal Lil Aalameen Dar Shaan-e-Oo]

His Eminence is ‘the Mercy of the Worlds’

‫معترین او بھترین انبیاہ‬

[Mehtareen O Behtareen-e-Ambiyaah]

The mightiest and the best of all Prophets is he,

‫جز ؐمحمد نیست در ارض و سماں‬

[Juz Muhammad Naist Dar Arz-o-Samaa]

Except Muhammad (PBUH) in land or sky there is none worthy

‫آں ؐمحمد حامد او محمود شد‬

[Aan Muhammad Hamid-o-Mahmoud Shud]

He is the praise of God, divinely praised in abundant

‫صورت معبود شد‬،‫شکل عابد‬

[Shakal-e-Abid, Sorat-e-Ma’bood Shud]

He is the reflection of God in the shape of a worshiping servant

،‫اولیاہ ﷲ و ﷲ اولیاہ‬

[Auliyah Allah O Allah Auliyah]

The friends of God are like God because God is their friend

‫ دید کبریاہ‬،‫یعنی دید پیر‬

[Yani Deed E Peer Deed E Kibriyah]

And in this way he who has seen his Master, has seen God’s Glory

‫ھرکہ پیر و ذات حق راہ یک نہ دید‬

[Her Ka Peer O Zaat Haqra Aik Na Deed]

If one doesn’t see his spiritual Master as reflection of God

‫نے مرید او نے مرید او نے مرید‬

[Nai Mureed O Nai Mureed O Nai Mureed]

He is not a disciple, not a disciple, not a disciple!

‫مولوی ھر گز نہ شد موالئے روم‬

[Maulvi Hargiz Na Shud Maula-e-Rum]

Maulvi could never be Maula-i-Rum

‫تا غالم شمس تبریزی نہ شد‬

[Ta Ghulaam E Shams Tabraizi Na Shud]

Had he not devoted himself to Shams-e-Tabrizi
