Regarding DR, we spoke about leveraging your local redundant production machines for the time being, enabling 
automated failover with Unitrends in disaster recovery scenarios. If you decide to add Disaster Recovery as a Service 
with Unitrends Cloud in the future, you can expect cloud costs to be around $900/500G for retention and cloud failover 
+ recovery assurance testing. For 15TB this cost would be $27,000/YR. 
 
Unitrends Cloud does not operate a consumption model (charging for historical data build‐up), rather we charge our 
customers in the cloud based on the size of a full backup locally. Unitrends also does not charge regression fees for 
recovering from the cloud – your retained data in the cloud is always available to you via a self‐service UI, the same 
place you would restore local files, vm’s, etc.  
 
If your data grows locally, say from 15TB to 18TB over the course of 12 months, we will add the applicable charges to 
your contract at the end of each year. Payed annually.

We will want to understand the cost for years after initial purchase, a year 3 or 5 quote will not communicate that in a 
straightforward manner.

Would it help for me to build out quotes for 3 & 5 years as well? If you plan to compare spending between competitors, 
signing onto a multi‐year support contract is a good way to save money.

I have a question regarding the quote. I am trying to understand year 2, 3, 4, etc cost 
 
The initial purchase is $76,650.28 
 
Then year 2 would I pay for the 1 yr retention and 12 Month platinum support? 
 
Also  when do we pay for the forever cloud? When we use it and will that only be what we use? 
 
I also wanted to make sure I understood no additional charges to restore data out of the cloud and if we need support 
during migration and setup that is included in the support? 
 
Also I would like to see pricing for the Virtual Backup Appliance
